
Uttarakhand becomes first state in the country to implement Common Civil Code
- Uttarakhand has become the first state in the independent country to implement Common Civil Code. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami issued an ordinance on the Common Civil Code, introduced the Common Civil Code rules and launched a website related to the implementation of the Common Civil Code.
- The most important event in the state was held at the Mukhya Sevak Sadan, the official residence of Chief Minister Dhami. Uttarakhand ministers and many senior officials participated in this.
- The Emerging Player Award is given by the ICC to one of the young players who has shown excellent performance throughout the past year. This award has been won by the young player of the Sri Lankan team, Kamindu Mendis.
