Cannot change "eligibility criteria" while recruitment for government jobs is in progress - Supreme Court judgement
- In 2013, a three-judge bench heard the petitions based on allegations of relaxation of recruitment norms in the state of Rajasthan, and was later transferred to the Constitution bench. The 5-judge constitutional bench headed by Chief Justice Chandrachud heard the case and gave its judgment today.
- The judgment said that the terms should not be changed after receiving the applications for a post or midway. In its judgment, the Supreme Court also said that the filling of posts should be done in a non-discriminatory and transparent manner.

- The first Asian Buddhist Summit jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture and the International Buddhist Federation was attended by 32 countries and more than 160 international participants under the theme 'Role of Buddhism in Strengthening Asia'.
- About 700 participants, including members of the Mahasangham, priests of various monastic traditions, monks, nuns, members of the diplomatic community, professors of Buddhist studies, experts and scholars, participated enthusiastically.
- In association with 'Bharat 6G Vision', 'Made in India' and 'Self-reliant India', the Center for Telematics Development (C.DOT), the premier telecom research and development center of the Central Government's Department of Telecommunications, along with CSIR – Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute (CERI) at Pilani , has signed an agreement to develop a multiport switch and tunable impedance matching network for a single broadband antenna to cover 3G, 4G, 5G.
- The project is funded under the Telecommunication Technology Development Fund Scheme of the Department of Telecommunication, Central Government.
- Designed to fund Indian industrial companies, academics, research and development organizations, the program is an important vehicle for designing, developing and commercializing telecommunication products and solutions.
- It will also focus on developing a micro-electromechanical technology-based switching network covering multiple communication bands with improved antenna performance.
