Viluthugal Integrated Service Center - Chief Minister M.K.Stalin inaugurated
- Chief Minister M.K.Stalin today (25.11.2024) inaugurated the 'Viluthugal' Integrated Service Center set up in Sholinganallur, Kannagi Nagar, Chennai, under the Tamil Nadu Rights Scheme implemented by the Department of Disability Welfare to provide physical / mental rehabilitation services to the differently-abled.
- Accordingly, the Honorable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu inaugurated the Viluthugal - Integrated Service Center set up in Sholinganallur, Kannagi Nagar, Chennai, as the first of the 273 Integrated Service Centers to be set up across Tamil Nadu under the Rights Scheme.
- Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the ICA Global Cooperative Conference 2024 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi today. Addressing the event, Mr Modi, Prime Minister of Bhutan, Mr Dasho Tshering Tobke, Deputy Prime Minister of Fiji, Mr Manoa Kamikamika, Union Home Minister, Mr Amit Shah, UN Resident Coordinator for India, Mr Shombi Sharp, President of the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA), Mr Ariel Kwargo, and dignitaries from various countries welcomed the participants of the ICA Global Cooperative Summit 2024.
- The theme of the summit is "Cooperation creates prosperity for all". This is in line with the vision of the Government of India, "Prosperity through Cooperation (Sahkar Se Samriddhi)".
- In the first match of the Davis Cup final, Italy's Matteo Berrettini defeated Van de Jantschulpin of the Netherlands 6-4, 6-2. He defeated Rafael Nadal in the quarterfinals. In the other final, world number 1 Yannick Sinclair defeated Dutchman Talon Greissboeker 7-6(2), 6-2.
- This is the first time in 104 years that the Netherlands have reached this stage. Italy has become the first team to win the Davis Cup back-to-back in 11 years. Italy has won the trophy a total of 3 times (1976, 2023, 2024).
