Tamil Nadu Govt signs MoU with 3 companies for Rs 850 crore investment
- Lincoln Electric is a global manufacturer of welding supplies, arc welding equipment, welding accessories, plasma and oxy-fuel cutting equipment, and robotic welding supplies.
- In the presence of the Chief Minister, a memorandum of understanding was signed between Lincoln Electric and the Government of Tamil Nadu for expansion of Lincoln Electric's research and development and manufacturing center in Chengalpattu district with an investment of Rs.500 crore.
- With the company of Bhay Prishtin Rs. An MoU for setting up Sensors and Transducers manufacturing center at Kanchipuram with an investment of Rs.100 crore, and an MoU with Vistian for setting up an electronic manufacturing center at Chennai and Coimbatore with an investment of Rs.250 crore, for a total investment of Rs.850 crore.
- Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi addressed via video. Under this scheme, around 24,800 rainwater harvesting structures are being constructed across the state to improve rainwater harvesting and ensure long-term water sustainability.

- The Ministry of Panchayat Raj and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) India have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate to strengthen institutions and engage communities for social change.
- The partnership aims to establish and institutionalize mechanisms for effective communication between elected representatives and field workers of Panchayat Raj institutions and rural communities.
