MoU with Tamil Nadu Government and Jabil & Rockwell Automation
- JBL, a major supplier of electronic equipment to Apple, Cisco, and HP, has its factory in Trichy. An MoU was signed in the presence of Chief Minister M.K.Stalin to set up a JBL factory in Trichy. This will provide employment to 5,000 people.
- Likewise, a company called Rockwell Automation signed an MoU with the Tamil Nadu government to set up a factory in Kanchipuram with an investment of Rs 666 crore. Also, an MoU has been signed with Autodesk to provide training to develop the skills of Tamil Nadu youth, Tamil Nadu MSMEs, and Tamil Nadu startups.
- The first meeting of the Executive Committee of Anusandhan National Research Foundation was chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today (10.09.2024) at his residence at Lok Kalyan Marg.
- The meeting discussed the reshaping of India's science and technology landscape, research and development programmes. In this meeting, Union Education Minister Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan participated as the Vice-Chairman of the Governing Council.
- Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan (Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan) met Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During this the two leaders signed agreements related to nuclear power, oil and food parks.
- This is the first time that India has officially established relations with the United Arab Emirates. An agreement was signed between the Government of Gujarat and the Abu Dhabi Company. Under this, many food parks will be built in India.
- At the same time, an agreement has also been signed with India regarding the operation and maintenance of the UAE's nuclear power plant in Barakah. India has signed an agreement to increase cooperation between the two countries in the energy sector. Under this, Abu Dhabi will supply liquefied natural gas to India on a long-term basis.
- Malbe and Mulki, the fourth and fifth anti-submarine warfare ships being built by Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) for the Indian Navy, were launched in Kochi on September 9, 2024.
- In keeping with maritime traditions, Mrs. Vijaya Srinivas inaugurated the services of the two ships in the presence of Flag Officer Commanding in Chief VADM V Srinivas, Southern Naval Command.
- A contract for the construction of eight anti-submarine warfare ships was signed between the Ministry of Defense and CSL on April 30, 2019. Mahe-class vessels are equipped with indigenously developed, sophisticated sensors. Anti-submarine operations, low-intensity maritime operations and mine-laying operations are planned in coastal waters.
- The simultaneous launch of these vessels highlights India's progress in domestic shipbuilding towards a 'self-reliant India'. The anti-submarine warfare ships will have 80% indigenous content, thereby ensuring that large-scale defense manufacturing is carried out by Indian manufacturing units, creating employment and skill development within the country.
- Union Home Minister and Cooperatives Minister Amit Shah was the Chief Guest at the first Foundation Day celebrations of Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Center (I4C) held at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi today.
- The Home Minister dedicated the Cyber Fraud Mitigation Center (CFMC) to the country and launched the Joint Cyber Crime Investigation Unit. Amit Shah launched the 'Cyber Commandos' program and suspect registry. The Minister also unveiled the new logo, vision and mission of I4C.
