MoU between Government of Tamil Nadu and Dabur India
- Dabur India Limited, a manufacturer of home care, personal care and juice products, is setting up a world-class manufacturing plant in Tamil Nadu for the first time in South India.
- In this regard, in the presence of Chief Minister M.K.Stal yesterday, in the head office, on behalf of the Department of Industry, Investment Promotion and Trade, Dabur India Limited Company signed an MoU with the Government of Tamil Nadu to establish a world-class manufacturing plant with an investment of Rs. - The Union Government headed by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has approved advance disbursement of Rs 40 crore as Central Government's share from the State Disaster Relief Fund to provide relief to the flood affected people in Tripura.
- 11 teams of National Disaster Response Force, 3 teams of Army and 4 helicopters of Air Force are already helping the state government in rescue and relief operations.

- The two leaders discussed bilateral relations and exchanged views on regional and global issues of mutual interest. Following this meeting, a joint statement was issued.
- In the presence of the two leaders, an agreement on cooperation in the fields of agriculture and food industry, an MoU on cooperation in the field of regulation of medicinal products, an MoU on Indian humanitarian grant assistance for implementation of high-impact social development projects, and a cultural cooperation program for 2024-2028 were signed.
- Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi handed over four cubes of Bharat Health Initiative for Cooperation and Friendship (BHISHM) to Government of Ukraine today (23.08.2024).
- President of Ukraine Mr. Volodymyr Zelensky thanked the Prime Minister for the humanitarian assistance. These cubes help in quick treatment of the injured and save precious lives.
- Each BHISHM cube contains medicines and equipment for first-line care for all types of injuries and medical conditions. It also includes equipment to perform 10-15 basic surgeries per day. The cubes have capacity to handle about 200 cases of different types of emergency situations like emergency treatment, bleeding, burns, fractures etc.
- It can generate its own energy and oxygen to a lesser extent. A team of experts from India has been appointed to provide initial training to the Ukrainian side to run the Cube.
- The 'Diamond League' athletics competition was held in Lausanne, Switzerland. India's Neeraj Chopra participated in men's javelin. Paris Olympics gold medalist Arshad Nadeem of Pakistan did not play in the tournament. Neeraj Chopra threw 82.10m in the first attempt and 83.21m in the second attempt.

- Tokyo (2021, Gold) and Paris (2024, Silver) Olympic medalist Neeraj Chopra bagged his 3rd medal at the Lausanne 'Diamond League'. Earlier he had won gold in 2022 and 2023. Andersen Peters (90.61m) of Granada, who won bronze at the Paris Olympics, took the gold medal. Germany's Julian Weber (87.08m) won bronze.
