The Department of Nuclear Energy has launched a project called One Nuclear Energy One Research Paper
- The project 'One Nuclear Industry One Research Paper' was launched today at Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai. The program is unique in bringing together all the units/sub-units of nuclear power sector under one umbrella to publish and study research papers at national and international level.
- Due to this initiative it is possible to share resources digitally and collectively. For this, Wiley India Pvt Ltd and Springer Nature Group have signed agreements in the nuclear sector.
- A meeting of Defense Logistics Procurement Group 2024 was held on July 29, 2024 under the chairmanship of Defense Minister Mr. Rajnath Singh. Various capital procurement projects were considered in this.
- The recommendation for procurement of equipment for armored fighting vehicles of Indian Army is accepted. The equipment is to be procured from Bharat Electronics, Chennai under the indigenously designed and procured division.
- The Defense Logistics Procurement Group has also approved the procurement of 22 interceptor boats equipped with a state-of-the-art system capable of rapid interception and attack to enhance the capabilities of the Indian Coast Guard. These boats will be used for coastal surveillance, search and rescue operations.
- Balasubramanian (54) of Kanchipuram Pilliyar Palayam Mutheeswarar Sannidhi Street. He has been doing handloom weaving in Kanchipuram for the last 30 years. He has been nominated for the National Award for Best Designer by the Central Government for the current year.
- On August 7, he will be presented with a copper certificate, certificate of appreciation and Rs. 2 lakhs on behalf of the central government at a ceremony in Delhi
- The first Science, Technology and Innovation Conference on “Traditional Knowledge for Sustainable Livelihood” started today (29.07.2024) in New Delhi. The 3-day conference is jointly organized by the International Center for Science, Technology and Innovation for Developing Countries and the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) with support from UNESCO.
- CSIR Director General Dr N Kalaiselva inaugurated the conference. CSIR Director, Hyderabad, Dr. D. Srinivasa Reddy, UNESCO Naturalist, New Delhi, Dr. Benno Boyer were the special guests. Prof. Anand Darshan Shankar, Founder and Vice-Chancellor, Multidisciplinary University, Bangalore, delivered the keynote address.
