2024 Lok Sabha Election Achievements
- 64.2 crore people have voted in the Lok Sabha elections this time. This is the highest ever voter turnout in any country in the world. 31 crore women and 33 crore men have voted in this election.
- In a significant achievement in the global health security agenda, the 77th World Health Assembly agreed to make amendments to the International Health Regulations (IHR 2005) based on 300 proposals made by Member States after the Covid-19 pandemic.
- Targeted amendments to international health regulations aim to improve the capacity of countries to prepare for and respond to international public health emergencies and pandemic emergencies.
- They include mobilizing financial resources to support developing countries in building, strengthening and maintaining key capacities required under IHR (2005).
- Real Madrid beat Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in the final of the Champions League football tournament on Sunday. With this, Real Madrid, who remain the team that has won the most times in the competition, has now increased that number to 15. The next highest, AC Milan is 2nd with 7 titles.

- The Department of School Education under the Ministry of Education, Government of India today signed an MoU in New Delhi with the National Book Trust under the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, to develop the organizational structure for the National Electronic-Buddhakalaya digital library platform.
- Higher Education Secretary Mr. K. Sanjay Murthy, School Education and Literacy Secretary, Mr. Sanjay Kumar, Joint Secretary Ms. Archana Sharma Awasthi and senior officials of the Ministry attended the event.
- This Buddhakalaya, a first-of-its-kind digital library, strives to inculcate a lifelong passion for reading among Indian children and youth by offering over 1,000 non-academic books published by over 40 renowned publishers in over 22 languages besides English.
- The first meeting of the National Coordinating Committee for World's Largest Grain Stockpile Program was held today (03.06.2024) in New Delhi. In this meeting, Secretaries of Central Cooperatives, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Food and Public Distribution, Food Industries Department held the first meeting with officials of Food Corporation of India and NABARD Bank.
- The scheme is to be expanded to an additional 500 primary agricultural cooperative credit societies with the help of State Governments, National Consumer Co-operative Federation of India, National Building Construction Corporation.
