Discovery of Neolithic materials in Uthangarai excavations
  • In the excavations being carried out by the Tamil Nadu Department of Archeology at Chennanur Village, Oodhangarai District, Krishnagiri District, Neolithic stone tools, flint seals, conch bangle fragments, round chips, glass bangle fragments, etc. have been found. Today (28.06.2024) an iron plow head was found at a depth of 75 cm in excavation pit A2.
  • The weight of this quadrilateral is 1.292 kg. It measures 32 cm in length, 4.5 cm in width and 3 cm in thickness. This tip may have been used as a tip in an air plow for farming in ancient times. Given the archaeological context in which this material was found, it may date back to the medieval period.

  • The Bill states that the law will be made tougher by imposing a fine of Rs 10 lakh along with life imprisonment for the sale of fake liquor to provide severe punishment to completely eliminate bootleg liquor.
