• இந்தியாவில் அன்னிய நேரடி முதலீடு செய்த நாடுகளின் பட்டியல் 2024 / LIST OF COUNTRIES THAT INVESTED FDI INDIA 2024: சமீபத்திய அரசாங்கத் தரவுகளின்படி, உலகப் பொருளாதார நிச்சயமற்ற காரணங்களால் நாட்டிற்கு வெளிநாட்டு மூலதனம் சுமார் 3.5 சதவீதம் குறைந்தாலும், 2023-24ல் சிங்கப்பூரிடமிருந்து இந்தியா அதிக அந்நிய நேரடி முதலீட்டைப் (FDI) பெற்றுள்ளது.
• 2023-24ல் சிங்கப்பூரில் இருந்து வரும் அன்னிய நேரடி முதலீடு 31.55 சதவீதம் குறைந்து 11.77 பில்லியன் அமெரிக்க டாலராக இருந்தாலும், அந்த நாட்டிலிருந்து அதிகபட்சமாக இந்தியா வரவழைத்துள்ளதாக தகவல்கள் தெரிவிக்கின்றன.
• கடந்த நிதியாண்டில், மொரீஷியஸ், சிங்கப்பூர், அமெரிக்கா, இங்கிலாந்து, ஐக்கிய அரபு எமிரேட்ஸ், கேமன் தீவுகள், ஜெர்மனி மற்றும் சைப்ரஸ் உள்ளிட்ட முக்கிய நாடுகளில் இருந்து FDI ஈக்விட்டி வரத்து குறைந்துள்ளது. இருப்பினும், நெதர்லாந்து மற்றும் ஜப்பானில் இருந்து முதலீடுகள் அதிகரித்தன.

• 2022-23 ஆம் ஆண்டில் 71.35 பில்லியன் அமெரிக்க டாலர்களிலிருந்து 2023-24 ஆம் ஆண்டில் பங்கு வரவுகள், மறுமுதலீடு செய்யப்பட்ட வருவாய்கள் மற்றும் பிற மூலதனங்கள் ஆகியவற்றை உள்ளடக்கிய மொத்த FDI ஒரு சதவீதம் குறைந்து 70.95 பில்லியன் டாலர்களாக உள்ளது.

• LIST OF COUNTRIES THAT INVESTED FDI INDIA 2024: According to the latest government data, India is expected to receive more foreign direct investment (FDI) from Singapore in 2023-24, despite foreign capital flows to the country falling by around 3.5 per cent due to global economic uncertainty.
• While FDI from Singapore will drop by 31.55 per cent to USD 11.77 billion in 2023-24, India has received the highest number of inflows from the country, according to data.
• In the last financial year, FDI equity inflows from key countries including Mauritius, Singapore, US, UK, UAE, Cayman Islands, Germany and Cyprus have declined. However, investments from the Netherlands and Japan increased.
• Since 2018-19, Singapore has been the largest source of such investments for India. In 2017-18, India attracted maximum FDI from Mauritius. According to experts, after the India-Mauritius tax treaty amendment, Singapore has emerged as the preferred jurisdiction to invest in India.
• He added that global economic conditions, geopolitical tensions and domestic policy developments could impact overall FDI inflows in 2024-25. FDI in India declined by 3.49 per cent to USD 44.42 billion in 2023-24 from USD 46.03 billion in 2022-23.
• Total FDI comprising equity inflows, reinvested earnings and other capital has declined by one per cent to USD 70.95 billion in 2023-24 from USD 71.35 billion in 2022-23. In 2021-22, the country received an all-time high of USD 84.83 billion in FDI.
• Sector-wise, inflows contracted in services, computer software and hardware, trade, telecommunications, automobiles, pharmaceuticals and chemicals. In contrast, construction (infrastructure) activities, development and power sectors recorded healthy growth in inflows during the period under review.
• FDI from Mauritius declined to USD 7.97 billion in the last financial year from USD 6.13 billion in 2022-23. India is the third largest investor in 2023-24 with foreign direct investment of US$ 4.99 billion, up from 6 billion in 2022-23.
• It was followed by the Netherlands (USD 4.93 billion), Japan (USD 3.17 billion), UAE (USD 2.9 billion), UK (USD 1.2 billion), Cyprus (USD 806 million), Germany (USD 505 million), and the Cayman Islands (USD 342 million) are coming.
• According to the data, Mauritius accounted for 25 percent of India's total foreign direct investment (US$ 171.84 billion) from April 2000 to March 2024, while Singapore's share was 24 percent (US$ 159.94 billion). The United States accounted for 10 percent of total foreign investment during the period at USD 65.19 billion.
• Foreign investments are important for India to upgrade its infrastructure such as ports, airports and highways. FDI helps improve the country's balance of payments and strengthens the rupee against other world currencies, particularly the US dollar.
