India-made 'Rudra M-2' missile test success
- The Indian Air Force has successfully test-fired the Rudra missile from a Su-30 fighter jet off the coast of Odisha against a ground-based target.
- The Defense Ministry said that the Rudra M-2 missile, its propulsion system, control and guidance algorithm performed well and successfully met the test objective.
- It is an indigenously developed solid-propellant missile. It is capable of hitting and destroying multiple types of enemy targets.
- The missile is developed with cutting-edge technologies developed by various DRDO (Defense Research and Development Organisation) laboratories. The effectiveness of this missile has been tested in various sophisticated methods.
- An MoU has been signed between the Union Ministry of External Affairs, Ministry of Information Technology and CSC e-Governance Services India. A program known as Immigrate is mainly implemented to help workers moving to countries with an Immigration Check Requirement (ECR).
- It aims to provide a seamless online migration process. This will solve the problems faced by migrant workers. The scheme is designed to promote safe and legal immigration through foreign companies, registered recruitment agencies and insurance companies.
- The MoU was signed in the presence of Mr. Rajesh Singh, Joint Secretary and Financial Adviser, Ministry of Electronics.
- Power Finance Corporation Limited (PFC) received the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Award in the Non-Fossil Fuel Business Category at the Global Sustainability Summit and Awards 2024 in Goa.
- Mrs. Parminder Chopra, Chairman and Managing Director, Power Finance, received the award from Mr. V Srinivas, Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, Central Government, in the presence of officials from the Department of Public Enterprises, IIT Goa and Outlook Media.
- Rural Electrification Corporation (REC), a Maharatna Public Sector Undertaking under the Union Ministry of Electricity, is functioning as a leading non-banking financial institution.
- The company won the Champion Award at the Outlook Global Sustainability Summit and 2024 Awards.
- The award ceremony was organized by Outlook Group in association with IIT Goa, Goa. Ms. Saraswati, Senior General Manager, Mumbai Office, REC, participated in the event and received the award.
