- Last year, 178 brain dead people donated 1000 organs. 1000 people have benefited from government and private hospitals. Tamil Nadu was awarded the title of the best state in India for organ donation and organ transplantation.

- 9 countries including America, Israel, Hungary, Argentina and Papua New Guinea voted against this resolution. Also, 25 countries abstained from participating in the referendum.
- With overwhelming majority support, Palestine is set to become a full-time member of the UN. It is noteworthy that last month, a resolution brought to the UN Security Council to recognize Palestine as a member state was defeated by the veto power of the United States.
