Class 10th Board Exam Results 2024
- The 10th class public examination in Tamil Nadu which started on 26th March ended on 8th April. As many as 9,08,000 students appeared for the Class 10 general examination in 4,107 centers and are awaiting results.
- Subsequently, the work of correcting the answer sheets of the students was held in 88 camps. The process of uploading the final marks on the website has also been completed. Accordingly, as announced earlier, the results of the public examination were published today at 9.30 am.
- As the results of the 10th class public examination have been released, 8,18,743 students have passed out of 8,94,264 who appeared for the examination. The pass percentage in the 10th general examination will be 91.55%.
- Last year the pass rate was 91.39%, but now the pass rate has slightly increased. 4,22,591 female students and 3,96,152 male students have passed the exam.
- Students from a total of 12,625 schools appeared for the Class 10 board examination. These include 7491 higher secondary schools and 5134 higher secondary schools.0 out of which 415 schools have achieved 100% pass rate. 1364 government schools have secured 100% pass rate.
- Looking at the school wise pass percentage, government schools got 87.90 percent pass, government aided schools 91.77 percent and private self-financed schools 97.43 percent.
- Similarly, the school education department reported that two pre-schools have achieved 91.93 percent pass, girls' schools 93.80 percent and boys' schools 83.17 percent.
- In March 2024, flash estimates of industrial production index stand at 159.2 with 2011-12 base. The indices of industrial production for the mining, manufacturing and power sectors for March 2024 stood at 156.1, 155.1 and 204.2 respectively. In accordance with the revision policy of the Industrial Production Code, these quick estimates are subject to revisions in subsequent releases.
- The industrial production index growth rate for March 2024 is 4.9 percent over the corresponding period of the previous year. In March 2024 compared to March 2023, the growth rates of three sectors namely mining, manufacturing and power are 1.2 percent, 5.2 percent and 8.6 percent respectively.
- The overall growth rate for the April-March period of 2023-24 was 5.8 percent over the corresponding period of the previous year. The cumulative growth rates of the three sectors of mining, manufacturing and power during April-March 2023-24 were 7.5 per cent, 5.5 per cent and 7.1 per cent respectively over the corresponding period of the previous year.
- According to usage based classification, indices for March 2024 were 162.2 for primary goods, 130.5 for capital goods, 167.5 for intermediate goods and 194.2 for infrastructure / construction goods. Also, the indices for consumer goods and non-consumer goods stood at 129.9 and 154.7 respectively in March 2024.
- The relative growth rates of IIP by application based classification in March 2024 over March 2023 are 2.5 per cent in primary goods, 6.1 per cent in capital goods, 5.1 per cent in intermediate goods, 6.9 per cent in infrastructure/construction goods, 9.5 per cent in consumer appliances and 4.9 per cent in consumer durables (Report III).
- The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) and Hindalco Industries on May 09, 2024 signed an MoU to manufacture and supply indigenous marine grade aluminum to Indian public and private shipyards for construction of ships. The MoU will also provide benefits such as quarterly pricing, prioritization of goods and turnover discounts.
- The ICG fleet currently operates 67 vessels with aluminum hulls capable of operating in shallow waters. It plans to add more such ships using locally manufactured marine grade aluminum to further enhance coastal security.
