The Union Government allocated Rs 285 crore for the Migjam cyclone
- The Union Government has released Rs.115.49 crore for the damage caused by Mijam storm in December last year in Tamil Nadu and Rs.160.61 crore for the rain and flood damage in Nellai and Thoothukudi districts in the same month.
- Similarly, the Union Government released a fund of Rs.3,454 crore to the Karnataka Government, which sought relief due to severe drought.
- Indian teams have won 3 gold medals in the Compound Mixed Teams category at the Archery World Cup held in China. The women's team (Jyoti Sureka, Aditi Swamy, Parneet Kaur) beat Italy 236-225 to win gold.
- The men's team (Abhishek Verma, Briansh, Prathamesh) defeated the Netherlands 238-231 to win the gold. India's Abhishek Vama/Jyoti Sureka duo beat Estonia 158-157 to win the gold in the compound mixed team category. It was a double gold medal for the reigning Asian Games champion Jyoti.
