Chief Minister Stalin inaugurated the Karunanidhi Memorial and Museum
- A world-class memorial to late DMK leader and former Chief Minister Karunanidhi has been constructed at the Marina beach at a cost of Rs 39 crores, with a 15-feet deep underground museum in its premises.
- The nearby Annadurai Memorial and Museum and the entrance arch have also been renovated and refurbished. Public Works Minister AV Velu had organized the event in a simple manner without even printing an invitation card.
- The Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for completed projects worth 8,801 crore 93 lakh rupees and new projects worth 1,615 crore 29 lakh rupees through a video presentation from the Chennai Secretariat.
- Accordingly, on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Power Generation and Distribution Corporation, he inaugurated development projects in 20 new sub-stations which have been installed at a cost of over 7,300 crores.
- Also, irrigation structures worth 111 crore 35 lakhs in Thoothukudi and Sivagangai districts and 414 crores in Trichy Mukkombu Kollidam river was also inaugurated.
- The Chief Minister inaugurated the completed project works at various places including the second underpass constructed at a cost of 9 crore 75 lakh rupees across Evening Bazar Road and Poontamalli Highway near Central in Chennai by the Metro Rail Administration.
