Chief Minister M. K. Stalin launched the scheme of providing free Wi-Fi facility at 500 places in Chennai Corporation
- During the budget session for the year 2021-2022, the announcement was made to host UMAGINE – the annual technology leadership summit in Chennai. Accordingly, the first 'UmagineTN' conference was held from 23rd to 25th March 2023 at Chennai Trade Centre.
- In continuation of this, this year too, IT Summit 'UmagineTN 2024' organized by IT and Digital Services Department of Tamilnadu Electronics (Elcot) is being held today and tomorrow at Chennai Trade Centre. Chief Minister M.K.Stalin inaugurated this conference today.
- Following this, he also launched a scheme to provide free Wi-Fi. In a financial statement, Tamil Nadu Finance Minister Thangam Thennarasu announced that free Wi-Fi service will be provided at 1,000 key locations in Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Trichy and Salem districts.
- In the first phase of this, Chief Minister M.K.Stalin launched the program of providing free Wi-Fi facility through Tamil Nadu Electronics Company in 500 important places of Chennai like parks, bus stations, beaches where there is a lot of people movement.
- Prime Minister Modi inaugurated and laid foundation stones for various projects worth Rs.13,000 crore in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. According to an official statement, the projects include several roads, a cooking gas bottling plant, a milk processing unit, and a general facility center for silk printing for weavers.
- Prime Minister inaugurated the statue of Guru Ravidass. In addition, Modi laid the foundation stone of a National Institute of Fashion Technology for the textile sector in Varanasi, a new medical college and a National Geriatrics Center at Banaras Hindu University.

- Last September, ISRO launched Aditya L1 spacecraft to study the Sun. The Aditya L1 spacecraft will study the Sun's heat, magnetic particle ejection, space climate, particles in space, and magnetic storms on the Sun.
- Currently stationed at the closest Lagrangian point known as 'L1' to the Sun, Aditya L-1 has detected the position of electrons in the solar wind. The spacecraft's PAPA instrument is Pip. ISRO reported that it detected the electron position on 10th and 11th.
- Aditya L1 continues to monitor the electrons and ions of the solar wind and the PAPA instrument continues to perform well in monitoring space weather conditions, ISRO said.
