The consecration of the baby Rama statue in the Ayodhya Ram Temple was held with great fanfare
  • Bala Ram Pratishtha was held today at 12.30 in Ayodhya Ram Temple which the whole world was waiting for. In Ayodhya, the yellow cloth covering the eyes of baby Rama was removed with special poojas.
  • A helicopter showered flowers on the Ram temple when the baby Rama statue was unveiled. Prime Minister Narendra Modi presided over the consecration of the Sripala Ram idol at the Ayodhya Ram temple. RSS Chairman Mohan Bhagwat was sitting with him.
  • Prime Minister Modi paid obeisance by sprinkling lotus flowers at the feet of the baby Rama statue. The Prime Minister prayed fervently in front of the bejeweled and glittering statue of Lord Rama.

  • The city of Ayodhya is full of festivities. Thousands of prominent leaders and film celebrities participated in Balarama Pratishtha. 10,000 CCTV cameras have been installed across the city for security in Ayodhya, which sparkles with colored lights.
India-Kyrgyzstan Joint Special Forces Exercise 'Khanjar' started in Himachal Pradesh
  • Khanjar, the 11th India-Kyrgyzstan Joint Special Forces Exercise, began at the Special Forces Training School in Paklo, Himachal Pradesh. The exercise is scheduled to be held from January 22 to February 3, 2024. It is an annual event held alternately in both countries.
  • The 20-soldier Parachute Regiment (Special Forces) of the Indian Army and the 20-soldier Scorpion Brigade of the Kyrgyz Regiment are participating.
  • The objective of the exercise is to exchange experiences and best practices of counter-terrorism and special forces operations in mountainous and urban areas under Chapter 7 of the United Nations Charter.
  • The exercise will provide an opportunity for both sides to strengthen security ties while addressing common concerns about international terrorism and extremism. 
  • Apart from achieving shared security objectives, the exercise will provide an opportunity to showcase the capabilities of the internal security apparatus and develop bilateral ties.
