பாரத ரத்னா விருது 2024 / BHARAT RATNA 2024: மிகவும் பின்தங்கிய சமூகப் பிரிவில் பிறந்த கர்பூரி தாக்கூர், ஆங்கிலேய ஆட்சிக்கு எதிராக வெள்ளையனே வெளியேறு இயக்கத்தில் பங்கேற்று சிறைவாசம் சென்றவர்.
பிரஜா சோசலிஸ்ட் கட்சியுடன் தனது அரசியல் வாழ்க்கையைத் தொடங்கிய கர்பூரி தாக்கூர், 1977 – 1979 காலகட்டத்தில் பீகார் மாநில முதலமைச்சராக பதவி வகித்தபோது ஜனதா கட்சியில் ஐக்கியமானார்.
அரசு பணி, கல்வியில் பிற்படுத்தப்பட்டோர், பட்டியலினத்திற்கு இடஒதுக்கீடு கோரி செயல்பட்டவர். பீகார் மாநில முதல்வராக இருந்தபோது பிற்படுத்தப்பட்ட மாணவர்களுக்கு கல்வியில் 12% இடஒதுக்கீடு கொண்டுவந்தவர்.
எனவே, பல்வேறு போராட்டங்களை முன்னெடுத்து மக்கள் மத்தியில் செல்வாக்கு மிகுந்த தலைவராக திகழ்ந்த கர்பூரி தாக்கூர் பிப்ரவரி 17, 1988ல் காலமானார்.
இதனால், கர்பூரி தாக்கூருக்கு பாரத ரத்னா விருது வழங்க வேண்டும் என்று நீண்ட காலமாக பல்வேறு தரப்பினர் கோரிக்கை விடுத்து வந்தனர்.
இந்த நிலையில், கர்பூரி தாக்கூருக்கு நாட்டின் உயரிய விருதான பாரத ரத்னா விருது வழங்கப்படும் என குடியரசுத் தலைவர் திரௌபதி முர்மு அறிவித்தார்.
கர்பூரி தாக்கூர் இறந்து 35 ஆண்டுகளுக்குப் பிறகு பாரத ரத்னம் விருது வழங்கப்படுகிறது. அதுமட்டுமில்லாமல், அவரது 100வது பிறந்த நாளை முன்னிட்டு விருது அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

BHARAT RATNA 2024: Karpuri Thakur, born in a very backward social class, participated in the White Quit Movement against the British rule and went to jail.
Karpuri Thakur, who started his political career with the Praja Socialist Party, joined the Janata Party when he served as the Chief Minister of Bihar during 1977–1979.
Acted for reservation in Government jobs, Educationally Backward, Scheduled Castes. He brought 12% reservation in education for backward students when he was the Chief Minister of Bihar.
Therefore, Karpuri Thakur, who led various protests and became an influential leader among the people, passed away on February 17, 1988. Due to this, for a long time various parties were demanding that Karpuri Thakur should be awarded the Bharat Ratna.
In this situation, President Draupadi Murmu announced that Karpuri Thakur will be awarded Bharat Ratna, the country's highest award. 35 years after Karpuri Thakur's death, the Bharat Ratna is being conferred. Apart from that, the award has been announced on the occasion of his 100th birth anniversary.
