National Highways Authority launches 'One Vehicle One Pass' initiative to improve national highway experience
- To increase the efficiency of the electronic toll collection system and provide seamless movement at the toll plazas, the National Highways Authority has launched the 'One Vehicle, One Passage' initiative.
- It aims to prevent user actions such as using the same passtag for multiple vehicles or linking multiple passtags to a specific vehicle.
- The National Highways Authority encourages FASTAG users to complete their latest FASTAGin KYC process by updating their Know Your Customer-KYC as per RBI guidelines. FASTags with valid balance but incomplete KYC will be deactivated / blacklisted by banks after 31 January 2024.
- To avoid inconvenience, users should ensure that their latest FastAgin KYC is completed. Fastac users must comply with 'One Vehicle, One Fastac'. All FASTags previously issued by respective banks should be removed.
- Only the latest FASTag account will be active as previous tags will be deactivated / blacklisted after 31st January 2024. For further assistance or queries, Passtag users can approach the toll-free customer care number of the nearest toll booths or respective banks.
- The Asian qualifiers for the Paris Olympic shooting competition are being held in Jakarta, Indonesia. In the men's individual 25m, 'standard pistol' category final, India's Yogesh Singh won the gold medal by scoring 572 points. Other Indian players Amit Kumar finished sixth and Om Prakash 12th.
