Trinamool MP Mahua Moitra sacked

• Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra has been dismissed from the Lok Sabha. Trinamool Congress MP from businessman Dashan Hiranandani to question against Adani Group in Lok Sabha. BJP MP told Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla that Mahua Moitra took bribe. Nishikant Dubey filed a complaint.
• Om Birla recommended the Lok Sabha Ethics Committee to investigate the complaint. Accordingly, the Parliamentary Ethics Committee was investigating the matter.
• Subsequently, the ethics committee appointed Mahua MP. Prepared a report recommending removal from office. The report was tabled in the Lok Sabha today (Friday) by the chairman of the committee, Vinod Kumar Sonka. They were then postponed to the afternoon due to monsoon.
• This afternoon the report was taken up for consideration and Trinamool MP from Lok Sabha. A motion to remove Mahua Moitra was brought and passed by voice vote. Subsequently, Trinamool MP from Lok Sabha. Speaker Om Birla announced the removal of Mahua Moitra.

Lal Duhoma sworn in as Chief Minister of Mizoram

• Soram People's Movement leader Lal Duhoma was sworn in as Mizoram Chief Minister today (Dec 8). At the Governor's House, Governor Haribabu Kambambatti administered the oath of office and secrecy to Lalduhoma.
• Also, 11 people's movement leaders will be sworn in as ministers. Mizoram National Front leader and Chief Minister Zoramthanga attended the function. Also, MLAs, Legislature Party President Lal Chandama Ralde and others participated in the event. Former Chief Minister Lal Thanhawla was also present.
• On December 5 (Tuesday), the Legislative Party of Soram People's Movement elected Lalduhoma as its president and K. They also chose Saptanga.

The Prime Minister inaugurated the Uttarakhand Global Investors Conference 2023

• Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi inaugurated today. He also inaugurated the exhibition there. Prime Minister Modi launched the book Strong Uttarakhand and the trademark House of Himalayas. The theme of the conference is 'From Peace to Prosperity'.

The Prime Minister inaugurated the first India Art, Architecture and Design Festival 2023 at the Red Fort in Delhi

• Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi inaugurated today. During the event, the Prime Minister inaugurated the Self-Reliance India Design Center at Red Fort. He also issued a commemorative postage stamp. Prime Minister Mr. Modi visited the exhibition displayed at the function.

Upto 5 Lakh UPI Transaction - RBI New Notification

• In 2016, UPI was introduced in India by the National Payments Corporation of India. With UPI we can send money through mobile to any bank account. It does not require details like bank account. Due to this, people are sending easily through apps like Ippo Pay, Paytm, Bharat Pay, Google Pay.
• In this situation, the Reserve Bank has allowed transactions up to a maximum of Rs 5 lakh through UPI from now on in hospitals and educational institutions. It is noteworthy that earlier I had said that only up to Rs.1 lakh can be transacted.

New Vice-Chancellor appointed for Fisheries University

• Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi has ordered the appointment of a new Vice-Chancellor for Dr. J. Jayalalitha Fisheries University. Professor Felix has been appointed as the new Vice-Chancellor of Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalitha Fisheries University, Nagapattinam. 
• He will hold office for 3 years. Professor Felix has 32 years of academic and administrative experience. He is also the in-charge Vice-Chancellor of Fisheries University.
