Mizoram State Election Result 2023
- Assembly elections were held in a single phase on November 7 for a total of 40 constituencies in Mizoram. About 70 percent of the votes were registered. The counting of votes for this started today (Dec. 4) at 8 am.
- The Mizo National Front (MNF) won only 10 seats. Zoram People's Movement won 27 seats and captured the government. BJP won 2 seats and Congress won 1 seat. It is noteworthy that the Mizo National Front (MNF) won 26 seats and came to power in the last election of 2018.
- The Executive Meeting of the Maritime Organization for the year 2024-25 was held. In the elections held during this meeting, India was re-elected to the Council of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) with the largest number of votes.
- India has again been selected in the category of 10 countries in the group "Countries with high interest in international maritime trade". Along with India, Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and United Arab Emirates (UAE) have also been elected to this council.
