Suspension of Wrestling Federation of India - Central Govt
- BJP MP Brij Bhushan Singh, who was the president of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI), was caught in a sex complaint. Against him, wrestling stars Vinesh Phogat, Sakshi Malik, Bajrang Punia and others protested.
- Meanwhile, Brij Bhushan's supporters won 13th out of 15 posts in the recently held Wrestling Federation of India elections. Sanjay Singh, close to Brij Bhushan, became the leader. Wrestlers strongly object to this.
- Sakshi Malik retires from wrestling. Bajrang Punia' returned the Padma Shri award. Virender Singh has also decided to return the 'Padma Shri' award.
