• மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகளுக்கு அதிகாரமளித்தல் துறையின் (சமூகநீதி மற்றும் அதிகாரமளித்தல் அமைச்சகம்) 2023-ம் ஆண்டு செயல்பாடுகள் / Activities of the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment) 2023: மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகளின் மேம்பாட்டிற்கு அவர்கள் போதுமான ஆதரவுடன் பயனுள்ள, பாதுகாப்பான, கண்ணியமான வாழ்க்கையை வாழ்வதற்கு தேவையான நடவடிக்கைகளை மாற்றுத் திறனாளிகளுக்கான அதிகாரமளித்தல் துறை மேற்கொண்டு வருகிறது. சமூக நீதி மற்றும் அதிகாரமளித்தல் அமைச்சகத்தின் கீழ் 2012-ம் ஆண்டு மே மாதம் நிறுவப்பட்ட இத்துறை மாற்றுத் திறனாளிகளுக்கு அதிகாரமளித்தலில் முக்கியப் பங்கு வகிக்கிறது. 
• மாற்றுத் திறனாளிகளுக்கு சம வாய்ப்புகளை உருவாக்கும் தொலைநோக்குப் பார்வையுடன், பல்வேறு சட்டங்கள், நிறுவனங்கள், அமைப்புகள், திட்டங்கள் மூலம் அவர்களுக்கு அதிகாரமளித்தல், சம வாய்ப்புகள், உரிமைகளைப் பாதுகாத்தல் ஆகிய பணிகளில் மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகளுக்கு அதிகாரமளித்தல் துறை ஈடுபட்டு வருகிறது.
• 2023 மார்ச் 28 அன்று குடியரசுத்தலைவர் மாளிகையில் மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகளுக்கான சிறப்பு நிகழ்ச்சி நடைபெற்றது. குடியரசுத் தலைவரின் அழைப்பின் பேரில் 10,000-க்கும் மேற்பட்ட மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகள், 100 திருநங்கைகள் இதில் கலந்துகொண்டனர். குடியரசுத் தலைவருடனான சந்திப்பு அவர்களுக்கு உற்சாகத்தை அளித்தது.
• அனைத்தையும் உள்ளடக்கிய இந்தியாவின் முதலாவது ஊதா (பர்ப்பிள்) திருவிழா கோவாவில் வெகுவிமரிசையாக நடைபெற்றது. இதன் ஒரு பகுதியாக மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகளுக்கு அதிகாரமளித்தல் தொடர்பான விவகாரங்கள் என்ற தலைப்பில் நடைபெற்ற இரண்டு நாள் பயிலரங்கில் மத்திய அமைச்சர் டாக்டர் வீரேந்திர குமார் உரையாற்றினார். 2023 ஜனவரி 6 அன்று தொடங்கிய திருவிழாவில் மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகளுக்கான திட்டங்களை அமல்படுத்துவதில் உள்ள சவால்கள், அதனை மேம்படுத்துதல் குறித்து இதில் விவாதிக்கப்பட்டது.
• மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகள் துறையில் ஒத்துழைத்து செயல்படுவது தொடர்பாக இந்தியா, தென்னாப்பிரிக்கா இடையே கையெழுத்தான ஒப்பந்தத்திற்கு மத்திய அமைச்சரவை 2021 பிப்ரவரி 15 அன்று ஒப்புதல் அளித்தது. மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகள் துறையில் இரு நாடுகளும் கூட்டு நடவடிக்கைகளை செயல்படுத்துவது தொடர்பாக இந்த ஒப்பந்தத்தில் வகைசெய்யப்பட்டது.
• படைப்புகளுக்கு அதிகாரமளித்தல்: மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகள் கலைநிகழ்ச்சி 2023 மூலம் இந்தியா முழுவதும் உள்ள அவர்களின் திறமைகள், கைவேலைப்பாடுகள் காட்சிப்படுத்தப்பட்டன.
• மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகள் கலைநிகழ்ச்சி 2023 ஆண்டு முழுவதும் பல்வேறு நாட்களில் தில்லி, மும்பை, போபால், குவஹாத்தி, இந்தூர், வாரணாசி, ஐதராபாத், பெங்களூரு, சென்னை, பாட்னா ஆகிய நகரங்களில் நடைபெற்றது. 22 மாநிலங்கள், யூனியன் பிரதேசங்களைச் சேர்ந்த 150 முதல் 200 மாற்றுத்திறனாளி கலைஞர்கள், கைவினைஞர்கள், தொழில்முனைவோர் தங்களது படைப்புகளை எடுத்துகாட்டினர்.
• மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகளுக்கான அதிகாரமளித்தல் துறை 2023-ம் ஆண்டு மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகளுக்கான பல்வேறு விழிப்புணர்வு நிகழ்ச்சிகளை நடத்தியது. ஜனவரி 04 அன்று கடைபிடிக்கப்பட்ட உலக பிரைலி தினம் முதல் 2023 டிசம்பர் 03 அன்று சர்வதேச மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகள் தினம் வரை பல்வேறு விழிப்புணர்வு நிகழ்ச்சிகள் நடத்தப்பட்டன.
• சாம்பியன்களின் சாதனைகள்: அபிலம்பிக்கில் பதக்கம் வென்றவர்கள், இந்திய பார்வையற்றோர் கிரிக்கெட் அணி, பாரா நீச்சல் வீரர் சதேந்திரா சிங் லோகியா ஆகியோரை 2023 மார்ச் 28 அன்று மத்திய சமூக நீதி மற்றும் அதிகாரமளித்தல் துறை அமைச்சர் டாக்டர் வீரேந்திர குமார் கௌரவித்தார்.
• பங்களாதேஷ் அணிக்கு எதிரான ஒருநாள் கிரிக்கெட் போட்டியில் சிறப்பான பங்களிப்பு செய்ததற்காக இந்தியப் பார்வையற்றோர் கிரிக்கெட் அணி கௌரவப்படுத்தப்பட்டது. அதேபோல் ஆங்கில கால்வாயை கடந்து வரலாறு படைத்த சர்வதேச பாரா நீச்சல் வீரர் சதேந்திரா சிங் லோகியா பாராட்டப்பட்டார்.
• மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகள் கலை சக்தி நிகழ்ச்சிகள் அவர்களின் கலைத்திறனை எடுத்துக்காட்டியது. மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகள் கலை சக்தி நிகழ்ச்சிகள் பிராந்திய அளவில் மும்பை,சென்னை, புதுதில்லி, குவஹாத்தி, வாரணாசி ஆகிய இடங்களில் 2023 மே 27 அன்று நடைபெற்றது.
• 3000 மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகளுக்கு அதிகாரமளிக்கும் வகையில், மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகள் அதிகாரமளித்தல் துறையும், அகமதாபாதில் உள்ள இந்தியத் தொழில்முனைவோர் வளர்ச்சிக்கழகமும், 2023 செப்டம்பர் 21 அன்று ஒப்பந்தம் செய்துகொண்டது. 1500 தொழில்நுட்பம் சார்ந்த மற்றும் 1500 பொது தொழில்துறை சார்ந்த மொத்தம் 3000 புதிய தொழில் பிரிவுகளை உருவாக்க இக்கூட்டத்தில் முடிவு செய்யப்பட்டது.
• பார்வையற்றோருக்கான நாட்டின் முதலாவது உயர்தொழில்நுட்ப விளையாட்டுப் பயிற்சி மையத்தை பிரதமர் திரு நரேந்திர மோடி 2023 அக்டோபர் 02 அன்று மத்தியப் பிரதேசம் மாநிலம் குவாலியரில் திறந்துவைத்தார்.
• மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகளின் உரிமைகளை உறுதிசெய்யும் வகையில் மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகள் துறையின் முதன்மை ஆணையர் முக்கிய நடவடிக்கைகளை மேற்கொண்டார். 
• விமான நிலையங்களில் மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகள் அணுக முடியாத நிலையில் இருந்த அரசு அலுவலகங்களை அவர்களுக்கு ஏதுவான இடத்தில் அமைக்க முதன்மை ஆணையர் உத்தரவிட்டார். பாரா துப்பாக்கி சுடும் வீரருக்கு சக்கர நாற்காலி வழங்க மறுத்த ஓலா கேப்ஸ் நிறுவனத்திற்கு நோட்டீஸ் அளிக்கப்பட்டு நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கப்பட்டது.
• மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகளுக்கான 18-வது தேசிய ஆய்வுக் கூட்டம் 2023 நவம்பர் 30 அன்று நடைபெற்றது. போலி மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகள் சான்றிதழ், மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகள் நிறுவனங்கள் தொடர்பாக இக்கூட்டத்தில் விவாதிக்கப்பட்டது. இத்தகைய நடவடிக்கைகளுக்காக அபராதம் விதிக்கப்படுவதன் அவசியம் குறித்து விவாதிக்கப்பட்டது.
• மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகளுக்கு அதிகாரமளித்தலுக்கான தேசிய விருதுகளை 2023 டிசம்பர் 03 அன்று குடியரசுத்தலைவர் வழங்கினார். பல்வேறு துறைகளில் மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகளுக்காக சிறப்பான பங்களிப்பு செய்த 21 தனிநபர்கள், 9 அமைப்புகளுக்கு புதுதில்லியில் நடைபெற்ற சர்வதேச மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகள் தினத்தன்று விருது வழங்கப்பட்டது.

• Activities of the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment) 2023: The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities is taking necessary steps for the development of persons with disabilities to enable them to live productive, safe and dignified lives with adequate support. Established in May 2012 under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, the Department plays an important role in empowering the differently abled. With the vision of creating equal opportunities for differently abled persons, the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities is engaged in the work of empowering them, equal opportunities and protecting their rights through various laws, institutions, organizations and programs.
• On March 28, 2023, a special program for the differently-abled was held at the President's House. More than 10,000 persons with disabilities and 100 transgenders participated in the event on the invitation of the President. The meeting with the President gave them a boost.
• India's first all-inclusive Purple Festival was held in Goa to much fanfare. As part of this, Union Minister Dr. Virendra Kumar addressed a two-day workshop on Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities. Challenges in implementation of programs for persons with disabilities and their development were discussed at the festival which started on January 6, 2023.
• The Union Cabinet on 15 February 2021 approved the signing of an agreement between India and South Africa on cooperation in the field of persons with disabilities. The agreement stipulates that the two countries will implement joint activities in the field of persons with disabilities.
• Empowering Creations: Art Exhibition 2023 showcased the talents and handiwork of people with disabilities across India.
• PWD Art Show 2023 was held on various days throughout the year in Delhi, Mumbai, Bhopal, Guwahati, Indore, Varanasi, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Patna. 150 to 200 differently-abled artists, artisans and entrepreneurs from 22 states and union territories showcased their works.
• The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities conducted various awareness programs for persons with disabilities in the year 2023. From World Braille Day observed on January 04 to International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 03, 2023, various awareness programs were conducted.
• ACHIEVEMENTS OF CHAMPIONS: Abilympic medal winners, Indian blind cricket team, para swimmer Satendra Singh Lokia honored on March 28, 2023 by Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment, Dr Virendra Kumar.
• The Indian Blind Cricket Team was felicitated for their outstanding contribution in the ODI match against Bangladesh. International para swimmer Satendra Singh Lokia who made history by crossing the English Channel was also praised.
• Paralympic Art Shows showcased their artistic talents. The differently-abled art power programs were held at the regional level in Mumbai, Chennai, New Delhi, Guwahati, Varanasi on 27th May 2023.
• The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities and Entrepreneurship Development Corporation of India, Ahmedabad signed an agreement on 21 September 2023 to empower 3000 persons with disabilities. It was decided in the meeting to create a total of 3000 new industrial units, 1500 technical and 1500 general industrial.
• Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the country's first hi-tech sports training center for the blind on October 02, 2023 at Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh.
• The Principal Commissioner of the Department of Persons with Disabilities has taken important steps to ensure the rights of persons with disabilities.
• The Chief Commissioner directed that government offices which were inaccessible to disabled persons at the airports should be set up at suitable places for them. Action was taken against Ola Cabs for refusing to provide a wheelchair to the para shooter.
• The 18th National Review Meeting on Persons with Disabilities 2023 was held on 30 November. Fake PWD certificate, PWD organizations were discussed in this meeting. The need for penalties for such activities was discussed.
• National Awards for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, 2023 were presented by the President on 03 December. 21 individuals and 9 organizations who have made outstanding contributions to PWDs in various fields were honored on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities held in New Delhi.
