- COP 28, the UN climate summit is taking place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). In this, Prime Minister Modi went to Dubai on the invitation of UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
- Prime Minister Modi, who participated in this conference, proposed a plan to hold the Climate Summit in India in 2028. A tribute to the Prime Minister Prime Minister Modi was specially invited by the UAE to deliver the opening speech at the conference.
- The UN Climate Change Summit is being held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Conference of the Parties (COP) refers to the summit of the countries that signed the agreement on climate change in the UN in 1992. The 28th UN Climate Change Summit in Dubai is known as COP28.
- The conference will be held from November 30 to December 12. Leaders and organizations of more than 200 countries, including developed countries and developing countries, are participating in this. The summit aims to examine the achievement of the goal of limiting global temperature rise to 1.5 degrees Celsius.
- Chief Minister M.K.Stalin had announced in the assembly in 2021 that a bell hall with a full statue of Pandit Ayodhya will be built.
- Accordingly, Chief Minister M. K. Stalin inaugurated the Ayodhyathasar Mandapam which has been built at a cost of Rs. 2.49 crores in the Gandhi Mandapam complex in Guindy, Chennai. He also inaugurated the entire statue of him in Mani Mandapam.
- NLC India Limited (NLCIL), a Navratna Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Coal, has partnered with Bengaluru Netur Technical Training Trust (NTT), a pioneer in imparting skill training to unemployed youth to meet current industrial needs, has signed a tripartite MoU in Chennai along with Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation.
- Through the collaboration of NLCIL, Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation and NTDF, 540 scions of project affected families will be imparted job-based skill development training in NLCIL operating areas in Neyveli.
- NLCIL has committed Rs 1.12 lakh per applicant for this free housing scheme under its rehabilitation and resettlement budget. This program will help the candidates to get technical training and get job opportunities in leading companies.
- Minister of Youth Welfare and Sports Development, Special Program Implementation Department Mr. The MoU was signed in the presence of Udayanidhi Stalin, Managing Director Mr. Prabhu Kishore K and other senior officials of NLCIL and State Government.
- This is another major initiative of NLCIL towards its commitment to provide opportunities to affected families as they have given their land and houses to NLCIL for project development.
