• பெண்கள் தண்ணீருக்காக, பெண்களுக்கான தண்ணீர் திட்டம் / WOMEN FOR WATER, WATER FOR WOMEN SCHEME: மத்திய அரசு தீபாவளி பண்டிகையை ஒட்டி ஜல் தீபாவளி திட்டத்தை அறிமுகம் செய்துள்ளது. 
• குறிப்பாக பெண்களுக்கு நன்மை பயக்கும் வகையில் "Women for Water, Water for Women" என்ற திட்டத்தை மத்திய வீட்டுவசதி மற்றும் நகர்ப்புற விவகாரங்கள் துறை அமைச்சகம் அறிமுகம் செய்துள்ளது.
• இதன்படி நீர் மேலாண்மை குறித்து பெண்கள் போதிய அறிவு பெற வேண்டும். ஒவ்வொரு வீட்டிலும் தண்ணீரை சிக்கனமாக பயன்படுத்தி குடும்பம் நடத்த பெண்களின் பங்கு அவசியமாகிறது. 
• தண்ணீர் குறித்து இவர்களுக்கு போதிய அறிவை வழங்கினால் ஒட்டுமொத்த சமூகமும் சிறப்பான முறையில் செயல்பட வழிவகுக்கும் என மத்திய அரசு கருதுகிறது.
• இத்திட்டத்தின் கீழ் பெண்கள் அவரவர் நகரங்களில் உள்ள நீர் நிர்வகிக்கப்படும் மையங்களுக்கு நேரில் அழைத்து செல்லப்பட்டு நீர் எவ்வாறு பராமரிக்கப்படுகிறது? நீர் சுத்திகரிப்பு எப்படி நடக்கிறது? தூய்மையான மற்றும் பாதுகாப்பான குடிநீர் ஒவ்வொரு வீடுகளுக்கும் எப்படி விநியோகம் செய்யப்படுகிறது? போன்ற விவரங்கள் நேரடியாக காட்டப்படும். அத்துடன் தண்ணீரின் தரத்தை பரிசோதிக்கும் வழிமுறைகளும் விளக்கப்படும்.
• இதன் மூலம் தண்ணீரை சிக்கனமாக பயன்படுத்த விழிப்புணர்வு ஊட்டப்படும். அதுமட்டுமின்றி நீர் மேலாண்மை, நீர் உள்கட்டமைப்பு அம்சங்களில் பெண்களும் பங்களிப்பும் உறுதி செய்யப்படும் எனத் தெரிவித்துள்ளனர். 
• இந்தியாவை பொறுத்தவரை 3000க்கும் அதிகமான தண்ணீர் சுத்திகரிப்பு நிலையங்கள் உள்ளன. இதன் மூலம் 65000 எம்.எல்.டி அளவிற்கு தண்ணீர் சுத்திகரிப்பு வசதியும், 55000 எம்.எல்.டி அளவிற்கு தண்ணீர் பயன்பாட்டு வசதியும் ஏற்படுத்தி கொள்ளலாம்.
• இந்த திட்டத்தில் அனைத்து பெண்களுக்கு வாய்ப்பு அளிக்கப்படுமா? என கேள்வி எழலாம். இல்லை. இத்திட்டத்தை ஜல் தீபாவளி விழிப்புணர்வு பிரச்சாரம் எனவும் அழைக்கின்றனர்.
• இத்திட்டம் நாளை நவம்பர் 7ம் தேதி தொடங்கி 9ம் தேதி வரை செயல்படுத்த முடிவு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. இத்திட்டத்தில் அனைத்து மாநிலங்கள், யூனியன் பிரதேசங்களிலும் 15 ஆயிரத்திற்கும் மேற்பட்ட மகளிர் சுய உதவிக் குழுவை சேர்ந்த பெண்கள் ஈடுபடுத்தப்படுவர்.
• மேலும் இத்திட்டம் சரியாக செயல்படுத்தப்படுகிறதா? என்பதை கவனிக்க அம்ருத், தேசிய நகர்ப்புற வாழ்வாதார மிஷன் அமைச்சகத்தின் அதிகாரிகள் ஈடுபடுத்தப்படுவது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

• WOMEN FOR WATER, WATER FOR WOMEN SCHEME: The central government has introduced the Jal Diwali scheme on the occasion of Diwali. The Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has launched a scheme called "Women for Water, Water for Women" to benefit women in particular.
• According to this, women should get adequate knowledge about water management. In every household, the role of women is necessary to run the family using water sparingly. The central government believes that if they are given sufficient knowledge about water, the entire society will function in a better way.
• Under this scheme women are personally taken to water management centers in their cities and how is the water maintained? How does water purification work? How is clean and safe drinking water delivered to every household? Such details are displayed directly. Also, methods of testing water quality will be explained.
• This will create awareness to use water sparingly. Apart from that, women's participation in water management and water infrastructure aspects will be ensured. 
• There are more than 3000 water treatment plants in India. Through this, water treatment facility to the extent of 65000 MLD and water utilization facility to the extent of 55000 MLD can be established.
• Will all women be given a chance in this scheme? The question may arise. No. This program is also known as Jal Diwali Awareness Campaign.
• It has been decided to implement this scheme from tomorrow, November 7th to November 9th. More than 15 thousand women belonging to women's self-help groups in all states and union territories will be involved in this scheme.
