இம்பால் போர்க்கப்பல் / WARSHIP IMPHAL: இம்பால் போர்க்கப்பல் என்பது இந்திய கடற்படையின் (Visakapattinam Class Stealth) ஏவுகணை அழிக்கும் மூன்றாவது கப்பல் ஆகும்.
இந்திய கடற்படையின் போர்க்கப்பல் வடிவமைப்பு பணியகம் (WDB) வடிவமைத்து, மும்பையில் உள்ள Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd ஆல் கட்டப்பட்டது.
INS இம்பால் கப்பல் உள்நாட்டு கப்பல் கட்டுமானத்தின் ஒரு அடையாளமாகும். மேலும் இது உலகின் மிகவும் தொழில்நுட்ப ரீதியாக மேம்பட்ட போர்க்கப்பல்களில் ஒன்றாகும்.
இரண்டாம் உலகப் போரின் போது போரில் உயிர்நீத்த இந்திய வீரர்களின் நினைவாக இந்த கப்பலுக்கு இம்பால் என்று பெயரிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.
7,400 டன் எடை மற்றும் 164 மீட்டர் நீளம் கொண்ட ஏவுகணையை அழிக்கும் இம்பால், தரையிலிருந்து வான்வழி ஏவுகணைகள், கப்பல் எதிர்ப்பு உள்ளிட்ட அதிநவீன ஆயுதங்கள் மற்றும் சென்சார்கள் கொண்ட சக்திவாய்ந்த போர்க் கப்பல் இதுவே ஆகும் எனக் கூறப்படுகிறது.
நான்கு எரிவாயு விசையாழிகளை உள்ளடக்கிய (COGAG) இந்த கப்பல் உந்துவிசை தொகுப்பால் இயக்கப்படுகிறது. இது 30 கடல்மைல் (56 கிமீ/ம) வேகத்தை அடையும் திறன் கொண்டது.
இந்த கப்பலில் medium range surface to air missile, அதாவது தரையில் இருந்து வான்வழி தாக்குதலை மேற்கொள்ளும் ஏவுகணைகள் (BEL, பெங்களூர்), பிரம்மோஸ் வான்வழியில் இருந்து வான் இலக்கை நோக்கி தாக்கும் ஏவுகணைகள் (பிரம்மோஸ் ஏரோஸ்பேஸ், புது டெல்லி), உள்நாட்டு டார்பிடோ குழாய் ஏவுகணைகள் (லார்சன்) நீர்மூழ்கி எதிர்ப்பு உள்நாட்டு ராக்கெட் லாஞ்சர்கள் (லார்சன் மற்றும் டூப்ரோ, மும்பை) மற்றும் 76 மிமீ சூப்பர் ரேபிட் கன் மவுண்ட் (BHEL, ஹரித்வார்) ஆகியவை அடங்கும்.
இம்பால் போர்க்கப்பல் ஏப்ரல் 28, 2023 அன்று முதல் முறையாக சோதனைக்காக கடலில் தனது பயணத்தை மேற்கொண்டது. அதனை தொடர்ந்து பல்வேறு கட்டமாக சோதனைகள் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டது. 6 மாத காலத்திற்குள் இந்த கப்பல் நாட்டிற்காக அர்ப்பணிக்கப்படும் என தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

WARSHIP IMPHAL: Imphal is the Indian Navy's third Visakapattinam Class Stealth Missile Destroyer. Designed by the Indian Navy's Warship Design Bureau (WDB) and built by Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd, Mumbai, INS Imphal is an icon of indigenous shipbuilding. And it is one of the most technologically advanced warships in the world.
The ship is named Imphal in honor of the Indian soldiers who lost their lives during World War II. Imphal, weighing 7,400 tons and measuring 164 meters in length, is said to be a powerful warship equipped with advanced weapons and sensors, including surface-to-air missiles, anti-ship missiles, and more.
The vessel is powered by a propulsion package consisting of four gas turbines (COGAG). It is capable of reaching a speed of 30 knots (56 km/h).
The ship is equipped with medium range surface to air missiles (BEL, Bangalore), Brahmos surface to air missiles (Brahmos Aerospace, New Delhi), indigenous torpedo tubes (Larson) and indigenous anti-submarine rocket launchers. (Larson and Toubro, Mumbai) and the 76 mm Super Rapid Gun Mount (BHEL, Haridwar).
Warship Imphal made its maiden sea trial on April 28, 2023. After that, tests were carried out in various stages. It is reported that the ship will be dedicated to the country within a period of 6 months.
