Union Minister of State Mr. Jitendra Singh inaugurated the Children's Science Festival at the Indian Institute of Integrated Medicine

  • Today (06-11-2023) Mr. Jitendra Singh inaugurated the "Kids Science Festival" organized by Council of Scientific and Industrial Research Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (CSIR-IIIM) in Jammu.
  • In the exhibition halls, Mr. Jitendra Singh visited various types of scientific models prepared by the students. Later, addressing the school students, Mr. Jitendra Singh described the merits of CSIR's Jigyasa program to encourage young scientific talent.
  • He explained that Jigyasa is a student-scientist linkage program implemented by Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) in collaboration with Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS).
  • Mr. Jitendra Singh appreciated the efforts of CSIR-IIIM in organizing such interaction activities for students from schools and colleges. He said that such activities help in enhancing scientific capacity and inculcating the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship among young minds.
  • Mr. Jitendra Singh also distributed prizes to the winners of various competitions held at the Children's Science Festival.
  • In this Children's Science Festival, more than 350 students from around 55 schools under the Government of Jammu and Kashmir, Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidyalayas, Army Public Schools, Bharatiya Vidya Mandir Schools, etc. from various districts of Jammu region, participated in various competitions and showcased their talent.
