14th Indo-US Joint Special Forces Exercise "Vajra Prahar 2023"
  • The 14th Indo-US Joint Special Forces Exercise "Vajra Prahar 2023" began at the Joint Training Center in Umroi. The American regiment was represented by soldiers from the 1st Special Forces Group of the US Special Forces. The Indian Army unit is headed by Special Forces personnel from the Eastern Command.
  • Exercise Vajra Prahar is a joint exercise between the Indian Army and US Army Special Forces. It aims to share best practices and experiences in areas such as joint work planning and operational strategies.
  • The first exercise was conducted in India in 2010. The 13th exercise of the Indo-US Joint Special Forces was conducted at the Special Forces Training School, Baglo. The current edition is being held from November 21 to December 11, 2023 at Umrai Cantonment, Meghalaya.
  • Over the next three weeks, both sides will jointly plan and rehearse special operations, anti-terrorist operations and air operations in the mountainous terrain under both routine and non-conventional conditions.
