Bharat NCAP Test from December 15
- The government introduced the Bharat NCAP test to determine the safety standards of cars in India.According to the ministry, the standard testing of cars will start from December 15. Bharat NCAP Car Assessment Programme, or Bharat NCAP was launched in India in August 2023.
- It has a global Global NCAP certification scheme. And it has been adapted here for Indian needs. The objective of this initiative is to raise the safety standards of the national automobile industry.
- India's Praneet Kaur took on compatriot Jyoti Sureka in the women's compound individual final at the series held in Bangkok, Thailand. At one stage Praneet Kaur was 2 points behind. He then came back in the last 2 rounds to level the match at 145-145.
- A shoot-off was followed to decide the winner. In this Praneet Kaur won the gold medal with the score of 9-8. This was Praneet Kaur's first international gold medal. Jyoti Surega, who stood 2nd, won the silver medal.
- In the compound mixed team category, India's Aditi Swamy and Brians won the gold medal by defeating Thailand by 156-151 points. In the women's compound team category, the Indian team comprising of Jyoti Sureka, Praneet Kaur and Aditi Swamy defeated the Chinese Taipei team by 234-233 points in the final and won the gold medal.
- India's Abhishek Verma defeated South Korea's Joo Jahoon 147-146 to clinch the bronze medal in the men's compound individual event.
- A scheme to provide Rs.1,000 monthly to 1.06 crore girls in Tamil Nadu was launched on September 15.
- While 2 months have been given, the month of Novamba will be given as the 3rd month. Due to the Diwali festival, the Tamil Nadu government has planned to provide the beneficiaries by November 10. Accordingly, the existing beneficiaries are credited with the entitlement amount in their bank accounts.
- About 11 lakh of those whose applications for women's rights were rejected had appealed. 7 lakh 35 thousand of them have been found eligible. They were informed that they will be given women's right amount from November.
- Accordingly, Chief Minister M.K.Stalin inaugurated the 2nd phase under the People's Entitlement Scheme in a program held on Friday at Kalaiwana Arena in Chennai by giving entitlement amount to some of the 7.35 lakh beneficiaries. Through this, the number of women entitled has increased to 1,13,84,300.
- The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has approved the "Digital Advertising Policy, 2023" for the Central Public Relations Department of the Central Government to carry out digital media campaigns.
- This policy marks an important juncture in CBC's work to disseminate information and create awareness about various programs and policies of the Central Government in line with digitization.
- In recent years, the way audiences consume media has seen a shift towards the digital space. The Central Government's Digital India initiative has led to tremendous growth in the country now connected to the Internet, social and digital media platforms. As of March 2023 the number of telecom subscribers is over 1172 million.
- The policy will help CBC connect agencies and organizations in the OTT and video-on-demand space. CBC can now for the first time direct its public service campaign messages through mobile apps.
- As social media sites have become one of the most popular channels of public conversation, this policy further regulates the process of placing CBC advertisements to government clients on these sites. The policy empowers the CBC to coordinate with digital media agencies to improve its dissemination through various platforms.
- The policy recognizes the dynamic nature of the digital platform and empowers the CBC to incorporate new and innovative communication platforms in the digital space with the approval of a duly constituted committee.
- CBC's Digital Advertising Policy, 2023 introduces competitive bidding for innovation, ensuring transparency and efficiency. Rates ascertained through this process are valid for three years and applicable to all eligible institutions.
