At Jodhpur, Rajasthan, Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for various projects worth around Rs.5000 crore
  • Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for various projects in the fields of road, rail, air transport, health, higher education, worth around Rs 5000 crore in Jodhpur, Rajasthan today and dedicated the completed projects to the country. 
  • A 350-bed emergency care center at AIIMS, Jodhpur. Intensive Care Hospital Unit These projects include 7 intensive care units under the Prime Minister's Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Initiative, construction of a new terminal building at Jodhpur Airport. 
  • He dedicated the IIT Jodhpur campus and infrastructure improvements to the Central University of Rajasthan. He laid the foundation stones of several road development projects and inaugurated two more rail projects including doubling of the 145 km Dekhana-Rai Ka Bagh and 58 km Dekhana-Kuchman city railway lines. 
  • Mr Modi flagged off two new train services in Rajasthan - the Runichha Express connecting Jaisalmer to Delhi and the new heritage train connecting the Marwar Junction - Kambli area.
Asian Games - Day 12
  • Ojas Praveen, Abhishek Verma and Prathamesh Samantha bagged India's third gold in men's archery today on day 12 of the ongoing Asian Games in Hangzhou.
  • Similarly, India's Deepika Pallikal and Harinder Pal Singh won gold in squash and mixed team. This is the second gold for India. Earlier, Jyoti Sureka, Aditi Gopichand Swamy and Praneet Kaur won gold medals in the mixed round of archery.
  • On the other hand, HS Pranai entered the final after defeating Malaysia's Li Ji Jia in the Badminton men's singles semi-finals. With this he has ensured a medal for India. Both semi-finalists in Badminton will be awarded bronze medal in Asian Games 2023 series.
  • India has won 83 medals so far in the 19th Asian Games. This includes 20 gold. At the 2018 Asian Games, India produced its best performance to win 70 medals, including 16 gold, which was the highest tally. This time India has broken all the records and is accumulating more medals.
