PM Modi launched Namo Bharat train service
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the country's first Namo Bharat train service in Uttar Pradesh. Rapid Rail, an upgraded version of Metro Rail, is operated under the name Namo Bharat.
- Accordingly, Prime Minister Modi flagged off the Namo Bharat train service from Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad via Delhi to Meerut. Later, the Prime Minister visited the route model at the railway station premises. Later, the Prime Minister interacted with the train staff and schoolgirls traveling in the Namo Bharat train.
- These high-speed trains between the two regions have been designed to integrate all bus stations, railway and metro stations and will stop at important places only. For this purpose, it has been metioned that the tracks have been developed enough to run trains at a speed of 180 kmph.
- Union Sports Minister Mr. Anurag Singh Thakur and Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Manohar Lal Khattar today (20-10-2023) inaugurated a total of 15 Galo India Sports Centers in Haryana.
- The event was attended by Ms Lalitha Sharma, Executive Director of Sports Development Authority of India and other officials from Haryana State. These centers have been set up as part of the central government's announcement that 1000 Kelo India centers will be set up across the country.
