• உலகிலேயே பாதுகாப்பான நகரங்கள் பட்டியல் 2023 / WORLD SAFEST CITIES 2023: இந்தியாவில் பெண்கள் வேலைபார்க்க மிகவும் பாதுகாப்பான நகரங்களின் பட்டியலை சேப்டி இன்டெக்ஸ் என்ற தனியார் ஆய்வு நிறுவனம் வெளியிட்டது.
• பாதுகாப்புசூழல், போக்குவரத்து வசதி, பணி வாய்ப்புகள், சமத்துவம் உள்ளிட்ட பல்வேறு காரணிகளை அடிப்படையாக கொண்டு ஆய்வு நடத்தப்பட்டது. 
• இதன் அடிப்படையில் சென்னை நகரம் முதலிடம் பிடித்துள்ளது. இந்த பட்டியலில் சென்னை 127வது இடத்தை பிடித்துள்ளது. சேப்டி இன்டெக்ஸ் நடத்திய ஆய்வில் 334 நகரங்களில் சென்னைக்கு 127 வது இடம் கிடைத்துள்ளது.
• உலகளவில் அபுதாபி மற்றும் அஜ்மான் நகரங்கள் முதல் இரண்டு இடத்தையும், மூன்றாவது இடத்தை கத்தாரின் தோஹா பிடித்துள்ளது. முதல் 10 இடங்களில் இந்திய நகரங்கள் எதுவுமில்லை. 
• அதே நேரத்தில் கர்நாடகாவின் மங்களூரு நகரம் 40வது இடத்தையும் மங்களூரு, குஜராத்தின் வதோதரா 76, அகமதாபாத் 82, சூரத் 94 நவிமும்பை 105 வது இடத்தையும் பிடித்துள்ளது.
• சென்னையை பொறுத்தவரையில் பாதுகாப்பு 60 சதவீதமாகவும், குற்ற அளவு 40 சதவீதமாகவும் உள்ளது.
• இதன் அடிப்படையில் இந்தியாவின் பெருநகரங்களில் மிகவும் பாதுகாப்பான மெட்ரோ நகரம் என்ற வரிசையில் சென்ன இடம் பிடித்துள்ளது. 
• குற்றங்கள் அதிகம் நடைபெறும் வரிசையில் டில்லி முதலிடமும் நொய்டா 2, குர்கான் 3-வது இடங்களை பிடித்துள்ளது .உலகளவில் குற்றங்கள் அதிகம் நடைபெறும் நகரங்கள் பட்டியலில் வெனிசுலாவின் கராகஸ், முதலிடத்தை பெற்றுள்ளது. 
• முதல் 10 இடங்களில் பிரேசிலின் 4 நகரங்கள், தென்ஆப்பிரிக்காவின் 3 பகுதிகள்பிடித்துள்ளன. 100 இடங்களில் டில்லி 72 வது இடத்தையும், நொய்டா 93 வது இடத்தை பிடித்துள்ளது. பாக்.,கின் கராச்சி நகரம் 96 வது இடத்தை பிடித்துள்ளது.

• WORLD SAFEST CITIES 2023: Safety Index, a private research company, has released a list of the safest cities for women to work in India. The study was conducted based on various factors including safety, transportation, job opportunities, and equality. 
• Based on this, Chennai city has been ranked first. Chennai is ranked 127th in this list. Chennai has been ranked 127 out of 334 cities in a study conducted by Safety Index.
• Globally, Abu Dhabi and Ajman occupy the top two positions, followed by Doha, Qatar. There are no Indian cities in the top 10. At the same time, Mangalore city of Karnataka is ranked 40th, Mangalore, Gujarat's Vadodara 76th, Ahmedabad 82nd, Surat 94th and Navi Mumbai 105th. For Chennai, safety is 60 percent and crime rate is 40 percent.
• Based on this, Chennai ranks among the safest metro cities in India. Delhi is the first in the list of most crime-prone cities, followed by Noida-2 and Gurgaon in the 3rd place. 
• Caracas, Venezuela, has topped the list of the most crime-prone cities in the world. 4 cities in Brazil and 3 regions in South Africa occupy the top 10 places. Out of 100 places, Delhi is ranked 72nd and Noida is ranked 93rd. The city of Karachi, Pakistan is ranked 96th.
