Indian economy grew by 7.8 percent
- According to a report released by the National Statistics Office, the GDP grew by 7.8 percent in the April-June quarter of 2023-24. China's GDP grew by 6.3 percent in the same quarter. India has become a fast growing economy. India's performance in agriculture and financial sectors is good.
- Financial, real estate and professional services sectors grew from 8.5 per cent last year to 12.2 per cent. But in the manufacturing sector, it was 6.1 percent last year and now it has decreased to 4.7 percent.
- ISRO's Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft was launched from Sriharikota on July 14 to explore the South Pole of the Moon. The Vikram lander separated from the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft successfully landed on the South Pole of the Moon on the 23rd.
- Pragyan rover separated from the Vikram lander and is effectively carrying out various research work in the south polar region of the moon.
