Asian Games 2023 - Day 2
- The Asian Games are being held in Hangzhou, China. On the 2nd day sports competitions were held. India has won 5 medals including 3 silver and 2 bronze.
- India's pair of Arjun Lal Jat and Arvind Singh finished 2nd and won the silver medal in men's lightweight double sculls. In this category, China's Junji Fan and Man Chun won gold, while Uzbekistan's Shaksod Nurmatov and Sobirzhan Zabaroliyev won bronze.
- Indian team comprising of Neeraj, Nareshk Galvania, Nitish Kumar, Saranjeet Singh, Jaswinder Singh, Bhimsingh, Puneeth Kumar and Ashish finished 2nd and won silver in the 8-man rowing event.
- India's Babulal Yadav and Lake Ram won bronze in the coxless pair category. With this, India won 3 medals in the rowing competition alone.
- India's Ramita Jindal finished 3rd and won bronze in the 10m Air Rifle category.
- India's team of Ramitha, Meghuli Ghosh and Ashi Choksi won the silver medal in the women's 10m air rifle team event. 19-year-old Indian athlete Ramitha has set a record by winning medals in the 10m air rifle individual and team events. At the end of Day 2, India has 5 medals.
