Rs 1,600 crore cell phone component manufacturing hub in Kanchi - deal signed in presence of Chief Minister Stalin
- Paxcon Chairman Young Liu met Chief Minister M.K.Stalin at the Chennai Secretariat and discussed the new investments being made by Paxcon in Tamil Nadu.
- At that time, an investment of Rs 1,600 crore was discussed for setting up a cell phone component manufacturing center in Kanchipuram. Also, an agreement was signed between Tamil Nadu Guide Company and Paxcon for this investment.
- The Directorate of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has given in-principle approval to Air India Ltd and Interglobe Aviation Ltd (INDIGO) to import (buy from abroad) 470 and 500 aircraft respectively.
- Availability of parking spaces for parking of aircraft is ensured while providing unimpeded proof of genuine import of aircraft. According to the induction plan of the airlines, it is proposed to buy (import) aircraft from abroad during the period 2023-2035.
- DGCA has directed airlines to share their plans with airport operating companies (operators) to ensure availability of parking spaces.
