• தகைசால் தமிழர் விருது 2023 / THAKAISAL TAMILAR AWARD 2023: தமிழ்நாட்டிற்கும், தமிழினத்தின் வளர்ச்சிக்கும் பங்காற்றியவர்களை பெருமைப்படுத்தும் வகையில் கடந்த 2021ஆம் ஆண்டு முதல் தகைசால் தமிழர் விருது வழங்கப்பட்டு வருகிறது. 
• அதன்படி, 'சமூகப் பாகுபாட்டுக்கு ஆளான மக்களுக்கு' ஆதரவாக தந்தை பெரியார் நடத்திய சமூகப் பிரசாரங்களில் தீவிரமாக ஈடுபட்டு நாற்பது முறை சிறைவாசம் அனுபவித்த கி.வீரமணிக்கு இவ்விருது வழங்கப்படுவதாக அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
• ஆகஸ்ட் 15 ஆம் தேதி சுதந்திர நாள் விழாவின்போது முதலமைச்சர் மு.க.ஸ்டாலின், கி.வீரமணிக்கு விருதை வழங்குவார் என்றும் அப்போது 10 லட்சம் ரூபாய்க்கான காசோலை மற்றும் பாராட்டுச் சான்றிதழ் வழங்கப்படும் எனவும் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
• இதற்கு முன்னதாக, மார்க்சிஸ்ட் கம்யூனிஸ்ட் கட்சியின் மூத்த தலைவர் என்.சங்கரய்யா, இந்திய கம்யூனிஸ்ட் கட்சியின் மூத்த தலைவர் நல்லகண்ணு ஆகியோருக்கு இவ்விருது வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

• THAKAISAL TAMILAR AWARD 2023: Thakaisal Tamil Award has been given since 2021 to honor those who have contributed to the development of Tamil Nadu and the Tamil community. 
• Accordingly, it has been announced that this award will be given to K. Veeramani, who was actively involved in the social campaigns conducted by Father Periyar in support of the 'socially discriminated people' and who has served forty times in jail.
• It has been informed that Chief Minister M.K.Stalin will present the award to K. Veeramani during the Independence Day function on 15th August and will be given a check for 10 lakh rupees and a certificate of appreciation.
• Earlier, this award was given to the senior leader of the Marxist Communist Party, N. Sankaraiah, and the senior leader of the Communist Party of India, Nallakannu.
