- The FIFA Women's World Cup is underway in Australia. Australia clashed with Sweden in the 3rd place match held yesterday at the Brisbane Stadium. In the end, Sweden won 2-0. This is the 4th time the team has won the bronze medal in the history of the World Cup.
Start-up festival
- A two-day 'Start-up Festival' organized by the Tamil Nadu Government has started at Kodisia Industry and Trade Exhibition Complex, Coimbatore.
- Minister TRP Raja inaugurated the ``Start-up Tamilnadu'' information service center at the function. He also issued approval orders to 20 beneficiaries under the Tamil Nadu Innovation Fund Scheme.
- Similarly, he initiated special career development training for women and entrepreneurship groups in educational institutions. Minister Thamo Anparasan inaugurated the exhibition organized on the occasion of the ceremony.
