Postal Memorandum of Understanding between Canada and India
- The two countries recently signed an agreement to introduce International Tracking Packet Service (IDPS) to facilitate e-commerce exports.
- Through this agreement, the 'International Tracked Packet' service will soon be introduced between the two countries, which will facilitate e-commerce exports. Indians involved in MSME business are known to be able to export their products to Canada at very cheap rates.
- Designed to cater to the cross-border shipping needs of e-commerce exporters such as small businesses, merchants, etc., using local post offices to promote the export of their products.
- The 2nd phase of excavation is going on at Vijayakarisalkulam near Vembakkottai, Virudhunagar district.
- So far six pits have been dug. More than 2500 items including flint doll, smoker, earring, weight stone, pendant, glass beads, conch bangles, elephant ivory dice, takali, gold ornaments, brick, chip circle and bowl have been found. Excavations yielded black, red clay pot, conical and circular Agal lamp.
