• 2022ம் ஆண்டுக்கான இந்தியாவில் புலிகள் கணக்கெடுப்பு பட்டியல் / CENSUS LIST OF TIGERS IN INDIA 2022: சர்வதேச புலிகள் தினம் அனுசரிக்கப்பட்டது. இதை முன்னிட்டு இந்தியாவில் புலிகள் எண்ணிக்கை குறித்து ஒன்றிய வனம், சுற்றுச்சூழல் மற்றும் பருவநிலை மாற்றத் துறை இணையமைச்சர் அஸ்வினி குமார் சௌபே, உத்தரகாண்ட் மாநிலம் ராம்நகரில் 2022ம் ஆண்டுக்கான புலிகள் கணக்கெடுப்பு பட்டியலை வெளியிட்டார். 

முக்கிய அம்சங்கள்

• 2022ம் ஆண்டுக்கான இந்தியாவில் புலிகள் கணக்கெடுப்பு பட்டியல் / CENSUS LIST OF TIGERS IN INDIA 2022: இந்தியாவில் 4 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு ஒருமுறை புலிகள் கணக்கெடுக்கப்படுகிறது. கடந்த 2022ம் ஆண்டு கணக்குப்படி இந்தியாவில் 3,682 புலிகள் உள்ளன. 
• மபி, கர்நாடகா, உத்தரகாண்ட், மகாராஷ்டிரா மாநிலங்களில் கடந்த 4 ஆண்டுகளில் புலிகளின் எண்ணிக்கை 50 சதவீதம் அதிகரித்து உள்ளது.
• நாட்டிலேயே அதிகபட்சமாக மத்தியப் பிரதேசத்தில் 785 புலிகள், கர்நாடகாவில் 563, உத்தரகாண்ட் 560, மகாராஷ்டிராவில் 444 புலிகள் உள்ளன. 
• நாட்டில் உள்ள காளி, மேல்காட், பிலிபிட், தடோபா அந்தாரி, நவேகான் மற்றும் பெரியார் ஆகிய ஆறு புலிகள் காப்பகங்களுக்கு விருதுகள் வழங்கப்பட்டன.
• இந்தியாவில் உள்ள 53 புலிகள் காப்பகங்களில் கார்பெட்டில் 260புலிகள், பந்திப்பூரில் 150, நாகர்ஹோலே 141, பாந்தவ்கர் 135, துத்வா 135, முதுமலையில் 114, கன்ஹா 105, காசிரங்கா 104, சுந்தர்பன்ஸ் 100, தடோபா 97, சத்தியமங்கலத்தில் 85, மற்றும் பென்ச் காப்பகத்தில் 77 புலிகள் உள்ளன. 
• 18 புலிகள் காப்பகங்களில் 10க்கும் குறைவான புலிகள் தான் உள்ளன. அவை உத்தரபிரதேசத்தில் உள்ள ராணிப்பூர், சட்டீஸ்கரில் அச்சனக்மர், இந்திராவதி, உடந்தி சிதநதி, ஜார்க்கண்டில் பலமாவ், மகாராஷ்டிராவில் போர் மற்றும் சஹ்யாத்ரி, ஒடிசாவில் சட்கோசியா, ராஜஸ்தானில் முகுந்தரா மற்றும் ராம்கர் விஷ்தாரி, தெலுங்கானாவில் கவால், தமிழ்நாட்டில் களக்காடு முண்டந்துறை, அசாமில் நமேரி, மிசோரமில் தம்பா ஆகும்.

மேற்குதொடர்ச்சி மலைகளில் குறைந்தது

• 2022ம் ஆண்டுக்கான இந்தியாவில் புலிகள் கணக்கெடுப்பு பட்டியல் / CENSUS LIST OF TIGERS IN INDIA 2022: மேற்குத் தொடர்ச்சி மலைகளில் புலிகள் நடமாட்டம் குறைந்துள்ளது. காளி (அன்ஷி தண்டேலி) போன்ற சில பகுதிகளைத் தவிர மேற்குத் தொடர்ச்சி மலைகளில் புலிகளின் எண்ணிக்கை குறைந்து வருவதற்கு அங்கு மனிதர்கள் அதிக அளவு செல்வது தான் காரணம் என்று குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளது. 
• வடகிழக்கு மலைகள் மற்றும் பிரம்மபுத்திரா சமவெளி நிலப்பரப்புளில் 2018ல் 219 புலிகள் இருந்தன. தற்போது 194 ஆகக் குறைந்துள்ளது. சுந்தரவனக் காடுகளில் 2022ல் 100 புலிகள் உள்ளன. 2018ல் 88 புலிகள் இருந்தன.

புலிகள் எண்ணிக்கை குறைந்த மாநிலங்கள்

• 2022ம் ஆண்டுக்கான இந்தியாவில் புலிகள் கணக்கெடுப்பு பட்டியல் / CENSUS LIST OF TIGERS IN INDIA 2022: இந்திய வனவிலங்கு நிறுவனம் மேற்கொண்ட ஆய்வின்படி, புலிகளின் எண்ணிக்கை உயர்வு ஆண்டுக்கு 6.1 சதவீதம் என்ற அளவில் உள்ளது. 
• அருணாச்சல பிரதேசம் 70 சதவீத புலிகளை இழந்துள்ளது. 2018ல் 29 புலிகள் அங்கு இருந்தன. 2022ல் வெறும் 9 புலிகள் மட்டுமே உள்ளன. ஒடிசாவில் 28ல் இருந்து 20 ஆகவும், ஜார்கண்டில் 5ல் இருந்து 1 ஆகவும், சட்டீஸ்கரில் 19ல் இருந்து 17 ஆகவும், தெலுங்கானாவில் 26ல் இருந்து 21 ஆகவும் புலிகளின் எண்ணிக்கை குறைந்துள்ளது.

மிசோரம், நாகாலாந்தில் தற்போது புலிகள் இல்லை

• 2022ம் ஆண்டுக்கான இந்தியாவில் புலிகள் கணக்கெடுப்பு பட்டியல் / CENSUS LIST OF TIGERS IN INDIA 2022: மிசோரமில் 2006ல் 6 ஆக இருந்த புலிகள் எண்ணிக்கை 2022ல் பூஜ்யமாகவும், 2006ல் 10 ஆக இருந்த வடக்கு மேற்கு வங்கத்தில் 2022ல் 2 ஆகவும் குறைந்துள்ளது. நாகாலாந்திலும் தற்போது புலிகள் இல்லை என தகவல்கள் தெரிவிக்கின்றன.

• CENSUS LIST OF TIGERS IN INDIA 2022: International Tiger Day was observed yesterday. In view of this, the Union Minister of State for Forests, Environment and Climate Change, Ashwini Kumar Chaubey released the tiger census list for the year 2022 in Ramnagar, Uttarakhand, regarding the number of tigers in India.

Key features

• CENSUS LIST OF TIGERS IN INDIA 2022: Tiger census is done every 4 years in India. According to the last census of 2022, there are 3,682 tigers in India. In the states of Mabi, Karnataka, Uttarakhand and Maharashtra, the number of tigers has increased by 50 percent in the last 4 years.
• Madhya Pradesh has the highest number of tigers in the country with 785, followed by Karnataka with 563, Uttarakhand with 560 and Maharashtra with 444. Awards were given to six tiger reserves in the country namely Kali, Melgat, Pilipit, Tadoba Andari, Navegaon and Periyar.
• Among the 53 tiger reserves in India, there are 260 tigers in Carpet, 150 in Bandipur, 141 in Nagarhole, 135 in Bandhavgarh, 135 in Dutva, 114 in Mudumalai, 105 in Kanha, 104 in Kasiranga, 100 in Sundarbans, 97 in Tadoba, 85 in Sathyamangalam, and 7 in Bench Reserve. There are 7 tigers. 
• There are less than 10 tigers in 18 tiger reserves. They are Ranipur in Uttar Pradesh, Achanakmar and Indravati in Chhattisgarh, Udanthi Sitanadi, Palamau in Jharkhand, Por and Sahyadri in Maharashtra, Chatkosia in Odisha, Mukundara and Ramgarh Vishtari in Rajasthan, Kawal in Telangana, Kalakadu Mundanturai in Tamil Nadu, Nameri in Assam and Tampa in Mizoram.

At least in the Western Ghats

• CENSUS LIST OF TIGERS IN INDIA 2022: The movement of tigers in the Western Ghats has decreased. Except in a few areas like Kali (Anshi Dandeli), the decline of tiger population in the Western Ghats has been attributed to human encroachment. 
• In 2018, there were 219 tigers in the northeastern hills and Brahmaputra plains. Now it has reduced to 194. There are 100 tigers in the Sundarbans by 2022. In 2018, there were 88 tigers.

States with less tiger populations

• CENSUS LIST OF TIGERS IN INDIA 2022: According to a study by the Wildlife Institute of India, the tiger population is increasing at a rate of 6.1 percent per year. Arunachal Pradesh has lost 70 percent of its tigers. 
• In 2018, 29 tigers were there. In 2022 there are only 9 tigers left. The number of tigers decreased from 28 to 20 in Odisha, from 5 to 1 in Jharkhand, from 19 to 17 in Chhattisgarh and from 26 to 21 in Telangana.

There are currently no tigers in Mizoram and Nagaland

• CENSUS LIST OF TIGERS IN INDIA 2022: In Mizoram, the number of tigers has declined from 6 in 2006 to zero in 2022, and in North West Bengal from 10 in 2006 to 2 in 2022. According to reports, there are currently no tigers in Nagaland either.
