Chief Minister M.K.Stalin inaugurated the kalaignar library
- A huge library with modern facilities has been built at Chokkikulam on Madurai Pudhunattam Road. Chief Minister M.K.Stalin inaugurated this library which is attached to the Kalaignar Centenary Welfare Scheme.
- The Chief Minister inaugurated the Karunanidhi statue near the gate of the library. Karunanidhi paid tribute to the portrait by sprinkling flowers.
- Later, at 5.04 pm, the Chief Minister cut the ribbon and inaugurated the Kalaignar Centenary Library. The ministers were accompanied by HCL Founder Shiv Nadar and Chairman Roshini Nadar.
- The Chief Minister inaugurated the inscription near the library reception. The Chief Minister visited the photographic displays showing the past and development of Madurai kept in the art gallery of the library.
- The Chief Minister visited the Keezadi museum displays and the statue of the youth taming the jallikattu bull with interest.
- The chief minister enjoyed a walk with ministers created in digital technology. The Chief Minister was impressed by the technology that made whoever sat in the room look like they were sitting next to former Chief Minister Karunanidhi. When the Chief Minister and Minister Duraimurugan sat on that seat, the screen showed them talking for a few seconds with the image of former Chief Minister Karunanidhi.

- The Asian Athletics Championships are being held in Bangkok, Thailand. The 4x400 meter medley relay race was held during the 4th day yesterday.
