• உலகில் அதிக தற்கொலைகள் பதிவாகும் நாடுகளின் பட்டியல் / LIST OF COUNTRIES WITH HIGHEST RATE OF SUICIDES 2023: உலகில் தற்கொலைகள் அதிகம் பதிவாகும் நாடுகளின் பட்டியல் வெளியாகியுள்ளதில், மிக மோசமான இடத்தில் அமெரிக்கா இருப்பதாக தெரியவந்துள்ளது.
• அமெரிக்காவில் ஒவ்வொரு 20 நிமிடங்களுக்கும் ஒருவர் தற்கொலைக்கு இலக்காவதாக அதிர்ச்சி தகவல் வெளியாகியுள்ளது. தரவுகள் சேகரிக்கப்பட்ட நாடுகளின் பட்டியலில் 31வது இடத்தில் அமெரிக்கா உள்ளது. 
• 183 நாடுகளில் முன்னெடுக்கப்பட்ட ஆய்வுகளில் 116வது இடத்தில் பிரித்தானியா உள்ளது. ஏழ்மை நிலையில் உள்ள ஆப்பிரிக்க நாடான லெசோதோ முதலிடம் பிடித்துள்ளது. இங்கு 100,000 மக்களில் தற்கொலை விகிதம் 87.5 என தெரியவந்துள்ளது.
• அடுத்த இடத்தில் தென் அமெரிக்க நாடான கயானா உள்ளது. இங்கு தற்கொலை விகிதம் 40.9 என கூறப்படுகிறது. அமெரிக்காவில் தற்கொலை விகிதம் அதிகரிக்க, அதிக அளவு துப்பாக்கி வன்முறை மற்றும் மனநோய் ஆகியவை காரணம் என்று நம்பப்படுகிறது.
• 2021ல் முன்னெடுக்கப்பட்ட ஆய்வில் அமெரிக்காவில் பதிவான 55 சதவீத தற்கொலைகளுக்கு துப்பாக்கி கலாச்சாரமே காரணம் என கண்டறியப்பட்டுள்ளது. மேலும் இளையோர்களின் தற்கொலையும் 27 சதவீதம் அமெரிக்காவில் அதிகரித்துள்ளது.
