Prime Minister participates in India-US Hi-Tech Cooperation event

• Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and President of the United States Shri Joseph R. Biden also participated. The event was coordinated by US Secretary of Commerce Ms. Gina Raimondo. It was attended by leading CEOs of Indian and American technology companies and start-ups. The event was themed to focus on 'Artificial Intelligence for All', 'Manufacturing for Humanity'.
• The event was an opportunity for the two leaders to explore deeper technological cooperation between India and the US. Discussions focused on the role and potential of India-US technology cooperation in enabling an inclusive economy powered by artificial intelligence to meet the needs of their citizens and the world. 
• The CEOs explored ways to improve connectivity between the two technology ecosystems to build global collaborations with India's skilled workforce and India's advances in digital infrastructure. They called for regular engagement between the respective industries to initiate coordination in strategy formulation, collaboration on standards, and fostering innovation.
• In his speech, the Prime Minister underlined the enormous potential of using Indo-US technology cooperation for socio-economic development. He also appreciated the contribution of India's talented youth in fostering a culture of innovation. 
• President Biden called on the CEOs to help expand Indo-US technology cooperation into new fields, including biotechnology and quantum. Both the leaders emphasized that India-US cooperation will play an important role in creating a better future for our people and the world.

IREDA has opened Paperless Business Center in East Kitwai, New Delhi

• Renewable Energy Development Corporation of India, a Central Government Mini Ratna (Category - I) company under the administrative control of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, has set up a state-of-the-art business center at its East Kitwai Nagar office complex, New Delhi. 
• The new office incorporates state-of-the-art technology and innovative solutions to eliminate the use of paper and promote efficient digital workflows across the organization A significant milestone in IREDA's commitment to sustainable practices, the office designed to function completely paperless was inaugurated by Pradeep Kumar Das, Chairman and Managing Director, IREDA.
• By adopting a paperless approach, IREDA aims to reduce its carbon footprint, reduce waste generation and contribute to environmental protection. The new office in Gitwai has been meticulously designed to create an environment conducive to productivity, collaboration and employee well-being. 
• It has advanced facilities such as dedicated spaces for yoga, meditation and fitness activities to help prioritize the physical and mental well-being of employees.

MoU with GRIDCO Odisha for development of power projects in Odisha

• NHPC, India's largest hydropower development organization, has signed an MoU with Odisha Government's GRIDCO Odisha for renewable energy development in the state of Odisha. 
• The MoU envisages setting up pumped storage projects of at least 2,000 MW capacity and renewable energy projects (ground mounted solar projects / floating solar projects) of at least 1,000 MW capacity.
• The MoU was signed on June 23 by NHBC Managing Director Mr Rajat Gupta and CRITCO Managing Director Mr.Trilochan Panda.
