Artist Centenary High Specialty Hospital in Guindy, Chennai - inaugurated by Chief Minister M. K. Stalin
- At a cost of Rs 376 crore, the Kalainar Centenary Super Specialty Hospital is built on 6.03 lakh sqft with 1000 beds at King Station Complex, Guindy, Chennai. Chief Minister M. K. Stalin inaugurated this multi-purpose hospital with various modern special facilities yesterday evening along with doctors, nurses and other medical staff.
- Later, he also inaugurated the bust and inscription of late former Chief Minister Karunanidhi in the premises. Ministers such as Durai Murugan, AV Velu, Udayanidhi Stalin, M. Subramanian, Chief Secretary V. Irayanbu, Health Secretary Gagandeepsingbedi, Public Works Secretary B. Chandra Mohan and others participated in the program.
- The Ministry of Defense signed an agreement on 15 June 2023 with ICOMM, Hyderabad for the procurement of 1035 5/7.5 Ton Radio Broadcasting Telecommunication Equipment Vaults to further boost the production of internal defense logistics and to incentivize the private sector to fulfill the vision of a self-reliant India.
- The deal is worth around Rs.500 crore. The distribution of vaults will start from the current financial year 2023-24. It will fulfill the Indian Army's long-standing need for mobile telecommunications.
