Chief Minister M. K. Stalin launched the Tamil Nadu Champions Foundation and released the logo for the Chief Minister's Cup
- Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin launched the Tamil Nadu Champions Foundation at a function organized by the Department of Youth Welfare and Sports Development in Chennai and unveiled the hero logo, theme song and t-shirt for the Chief Minister's Trophy 2023.
- From June 2021 to March 2023, Rs 43 crore 18 lakh 75 thousand has been given to 1,594 athletes who have won various national and international competitions. Tamilnadu government is working as a government to encourage all sports.
- In the name of 'Chief Minister's Cup', 15 types of competitions including Silambam, Kabaddi, Football and Basketball are conducted at district and state level for school, college students, general category, differently abled and government employees.
- Union Finance Minister Ms. Nirmala Sitharaman presided over the 27th meeting of the Financial Stability and Development Council held in New Delhi. It is to be noted that this is the first meeting to be held after the presentation of the financial position report for the year 2023-24.
- This consultative meeting will help to take necessary measures to improve the economic condition of the common people and to meet their financial needs in a proper manner.
- The meeting discussed precautionary measures and preparedness needed to deal with the impact on the economy, reducing compliance burdens, improving the quality of regulation, regularizing corporate and individual credit levels, easing KYC norms, which means Know Your Customer, providing protection to individuals investing in government stock markets, insurance Various aspects such as inclusiveness of programs were discussed.
- Smart project is being implemented for development work at stations operated by Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail. It is designed to improve the economic activities of these railway stations and the convenience of the stakeholders.
- Among the 12 railway stations on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad route, MoUs have been signed for Sabarmati and Surat railway stations in Gujarat and Virar and Thane railway stations in Maharashtra.
- The Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, Governments of Gujarat, Maharashtra, JICA has organized a series of seminars and field visits for the SMART project in Delhi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai.
- Its first seminar has been organized on May 8, 2023 at Nirman Bhawan, New Delhi. Officials from Embassy of Japan, JICA Headquarters, JICA India Office, JICA Expert Group, Ministry of Railways, National High Speed Rail Corporation, Union Ministry of Housing and Industrial Development, DCPO are participating in this.
