155 Crore Pharmaceutical Park at Tindivanam Chipgat - Chief Minister M. K. Stalin lays foundation stone in video
- A government order has been issued to set up a pharmaceutical park with various modern facilities in an area of 111 acres at Chipkot Industrial Park, Tindivanam, Villupuram district, at a cost of Rs.155 crores, under the Perungumuta project.
- 51.56 crores from the Tamil Nadu Government and Rs.20 crores from the Central Government have been earmarked for this project, a common facility center, a global quality control testing center, a sewage treatment plant with zero liquid discharge and a storage warehouse for pharmaceutical products have been set up.
- More than 40 pharmaceutical manufacturing companies will be set up in this park, which will provide employment to 6 thousand people directly and 10 thousand people indirectly. Chief Minister M. K. Stalin laid the foundation stone for this medical park project through a video call at the Chief Secretariat.
- Entrepreneurship Fund Scheme: Government of Tamil Nadu, Tamil Nadu Scheduled Tribes, Tribal Entrepreneurship Fund Scheme is implemented through Tamil Nadu Industry and Innovation Initiative to achieve inclusive development of all communities in new age entrepreneurship.
- Accordingly, a fund of Rs 30 crore has been launched in the last financial year to provide equity investment or unsecured credit to innovative companies run by entrepreneurs belonging to these sectors. This financial year has been increased to Rs.50 crore. 8 companies have been selected in 2 phases through a qualified panel of judges from among the companies that have applied to benefit from this scheme.
- The Chief Minister issued approval orders for equity investment of Rs 9.75 crore in 8 companies including advanced manufacturing, artificial entertainment media, architecture, intelligence, medical technology companies and a green manufacturing company started by tribals.
- The Government of Tamil Nadu is providing Rs. 10 lakhs to eligible companies under the 'Tamil Nadu New Year Fund - Danseed' scheme to support start-up companies. So far 84 industrial companies have benefited from this scheme.
- Currently, 25 companies operating in various sectors such as manufacturing, modern architecture, cyber security, technology for the differently abled, medical technology, etc. have received the Innovation Fund as part of the 2nd phase of Tansheet 4th edition.
- Accordingly, the Chief Minister issued approval orders for disbursing a total of Rs 1.25 crore to these institutions at the rate of Rs 5 lakh each as the first installment.

- HCL Foundation, the corporate social responsibility arm of HCL, a global technology company operating in India, has launched one of its flagship projects, HCL. (Chamuday) in 95 village panchayats of Tamil Nadu in the presence of Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, Government of Tamil Nadu Rural Development and Panchayat Department Principal Secretary Amuda, and H.C.L. Alok Verma, Project Director of the Foundation, signed the MoU at the head office yesterday (Thursday).
