Ganga Poorwala appointed as Chief Justice of Madras High Court
- T. Raja was appointed as the Chief Justice of Madras High Court on 19 September 2022; Retired on 24 Following him, senior judge S. Vaithyanathan has been appointed as the in-charge chief justice.
- In this case, the President has appointed SV Ganga Poorwala, who is the Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court, as the Chief Justice of the Madras High Court. SV Ganga Poorwala, a native of Maharashtra, was born on May 24, 1962.
- Ganga Poorwala will be the acting Chief Justice from December 2022, following the appointment of Dibangar Dutta, who served as the Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court, as a Supreme Court judge.
- Currently, he is appointed as Chief Justice of Madras High Court; He will continue in office till May 23, 2024. On April 19, 2023, the Supreme Court 'collegium' had recommended the central government to appoint SV Ganga Poorwala as the Chief Justice of the Madras High Court. The Union Ministry of Law has just released the appointment notification.
- Muthamilchelvi is the daughter of Narayanan-Murthiyammal from Jokilpatti village in Virudhunagar district. She is married and lives in Chennai with her husband and two children. Working as a teacher in a private school, Muthamilchelvi has been interested in trekking since childhood. He wanted to go to the top of Mount Everest and has been training for it.
- Subsequently, Muthamilchelvi, who left Chennai on April 2, started climbing Everest on April 5. After traveling continuously for 51 days, he reached the summit of Mount Everest on May 23. Muthamichelvi, who has reached the summit of Mount Everest at a height of approximately 8,848 meters, has become the first Tamil woman to reach the summit of Mount Everest.
- In Osaka Prefecture, in the presence of the Chief Minister, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Tamil Nadu Guide Company and Daicel Safety Systems from Japan.
- An MoU was signed for expansion of Diesel Company's Airbag Inflator manufacturing plant at Tirupporur with an investment of Rs 83 crores to provide employment to around 53 persons. The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Ken Panto, Director of Diesel Company and V. Vishnu, Managing Director of Tamilnadu Guide Company.

- The Competition Authority of India has approved the acquisition of additional mandatorily convertible series electronic preference shares of Acco Technologies and Services Private Limited by Multiples Private Equity Fund III and CPB Investment Port Private Limited.
- The approval enables Multiples Private Equity Fund III and CPP Investment Port Private Limited to purchase additional Mandatory Convertible Series Electronic Preference Shares of Acco Technologies and Services Private Limited.
