Tejaswin Shankar won a silver medal at the American Athletics Championships
- The Jim Click Shootout athletic competition was held on the campus of the University of Arizona, USA. Indian athlete Tejaswin Shankar has won a silver medal in Decathlon in this competition organized by American Athletics Federation.
- Decathlon consists of 10 events including high jump, 400m run, 100m run, long jump, shot put, 110m hurdles, discus throw, pole vault, javelin throw and 1500m run. Tejaswin Shankar scored a total of 7,648 points. This is 10 points less than Bharatinder Singh's national record of 7,658 in 2011.
- Prime Minister Modi yesterday inaugurated the first phase of the new integrated terminal building at Chennai Airport, built at a cost of Rs 1,260 crore and covering an area of 1.36 lakh square meters. With this world class terminal, the passenger handling capacity of Chennai airport has increased from 2.3 crore to 3 crore.
- Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and airport officials explained the facilities at the airport to the Prime Minister. Governor RN Ravi, Chief Minister M K Stalin, Union Minister of State L Murugan participated in this event.

- President Drabupati Murmu accepted the parade maria given by the Air Force personnel. He then flew for the first time in a Sukhoi fighter jet. The flight was piloted by Group Captain Naveen Kumar.
- The aircraft flew at an altitude of about 3 km above sea level and at a speed of about 800 km per hour. After traveling for about half an hour in a Sukhoi fighter jet, the President visited the Himalayan regions from Brahmaputra to Teshpur and then returned to the Air Force base.
- With this, Draupathi Murmu became the 3rd President of India and the 2nd woman President to fly in a fighter jet. Former President Pratibha Patil flew in a Sukhoi aircraft from Pune Air Force base in 2009.
- In a function held today at the Parade Ground in Hyderabad, Telangana, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi gave Rs. He laid the foundation stones of various projects worth 11,300 crores and also initiated completed projects. Among these projects, the foundation stone of AIIMS Hospital in PPnagar, 5 National Highway projects in Hyderabad and renovation work of Secunderabad Railway Station are important.
- He also laid the foundation stone for other development projects related to railways. Earlier this morning, the Prime Minister flagged off the Secunderabad-Tirupati Vande Bharat Express train service at the Secunderabad Railway Station in Hyderabad.
