Vaikam Centenary Celebration in Kerala
- Vaikam Satyagraha Struggle Centenary Celebration'' was held at Vaikam, Kottayam District, Kerala. Stalin and Pinarayi Vijayan participated in Vaikam struggle centenary.
- The Malayalam translation of the book 'Vaikam Ughtra' written by Pasha Athiyaman is being published on the occasion of the centenary celebrations of the Vaikam Ughtra.
- The function was attended by the state secretary of the Communist Party of India K. Balakrishnan and leaders of various parties including Kerala ministers and the leader of the opposition.
- This is the second highest ever collection after GST. In the last financial year 2022-23, the total tax collection was Rs 18.10 lakh crore. This is a 22 percent increase over the previous year.
- The average gross monthly collection for the full year was Rs 1.51 lakh crore. The total GST collection crossed Rs 1.50 lakh crore for the fourth time in the last financial year. This has registered the second highest collection in March after the implementation of GST.
- The current year, March 2023 GST revenue is 13 percent higher than the tax revenue collected in the same month of the previous year. Also, the tax filing for GST in March 2023 is at an all-time high.
- Total collection in last financial year : 18.10 lakh crore rupees. Average monthly collections: Rs 1.51 lakh crore, up 22 percent from last year, with monthly collections crossing the Rs 1.50 lakh crore mark four times. At its highest, in April last year, the collection was Rs 1.68 lakh crore
- Prime Minister Modi flagged off the 11th Vande Bharat train between Bhopal and New Delhi at Rani Kamalapati Station in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. This train covers a total distance of 706 km between the two cities (Bhopal - Delhi). The Vande Bharat train will cover this distance in 7.50 hours. This is the 11th Vande Bharat train of the country.
- Vice Admiral Atul Anand took charge as Director-General of Indian Naval Operations. He was commissioned in the Executive Branch of the Indian Navy on 01 January 1988.
