Introduction of 2nd Amendment Bill including Gymnasium Licensing
- Chief Minister Stalin introduced the Chennai Metropolitan Police Amendment Bill. Chief Minister Stalin announced at the 39th Businessmen's Day conference held in Trichy on May 5, 2022, that the requirement to obtain a license for gyms will be removed to facilitate the opening of gyms considering the health and well-being of the people. The government has decided to amend the Chennai Municipal Police Act to give effect to this notification.
- Likewise, Minister CV Ganesan proposed a bill to amend the Factories Act brought by the Central Government to make it applicable to Tamil Nadu.
- In the explanatory speech, he said, 'Tamil Nadu has the largest number of factories and workers in the country. Citing the benefits to workers, especially women workers, and to the economy as a whole by creating easy-to-follow working hours legislation, various trade unions and industry associations petitioned the government to introduce working hours reforms.
- Based on this, the Central Government Act of 1948 relating to factories should be amended to apply to the state.

- Initially, the Jaipur-Delhi Cantonment train will run between the stations on the opening day. The regular service of this Vandebharat Express train will start on April 13. This train will run from Ajmer to Delhi Cantonment via Jaipur, Alwar, Gurgaon.
- This train will reach Delhi Cantonment-Ajmer distance in 5 hours 15 minutes. At present, the Shatabdi Express train reaches in 6 hours 15 minutes on this route. The new Vandebharat train will run 60 minutes faster than the existing trains on the same route. This train connects major tourist destinations including Pushkar and Ajmer Sharif Dargah.
- Raman Research Institute has joined hands with the Indian Navy to develop secure maritime communications using quantum technology.
- The Raman Research Institute, an autonomous institute under the Department of Science and Technology, Ministry of Science and Technology, recently signed an MoU with the Weapons and Electronic Systems Engineering Institute, a research and development agency of the Indian Navy. The five-year MoU was signed by Professor Tarun Souradeep, Director, Raman Research Institute, and Vice Admiral Sandeep Naithani, Chief of Materiel, Indian Navy.
