புன்னகை திட்டம் / PUNNAGAI SCHEME: சென்னை நந்தனம் அரசு பள்ளியில், 'புன்னகை' என்ற திட்டத்தை அமைச்சர்கள் மா.சுப்பிரமணியன், அன்பில் மகேஷ் ஆகியோர் இணைந்து தொடங்கி வைத்து நடமாடும் பல் மருத்துவ ஊர்தியில் அளிக்கப்படும் பல் சிகிச்சையை மேற்பார்வையிட்டனர்.
மாணவர்களின் பல் பாதுகாப்பை உறுதிப்படுத்தும் வண்ணம் உருவாக்கப்பட்டுள்ள இந்த திட்டத்தில், ஆறு முதல் எட்டாம் வகுப்பு வரையிலான மாணவர்களுக்கு பல் சிகிச்சை வழங்க முடிவு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது.
பள்ளிக் குழந்தைகளை பரிசோதித்து அவர்களுக்கு ஏற்படும் வாய்வழி நோய்கள் குறித்து விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்துவதற்கும், தீர்வு காண்பதற்கும் இத்திட்டம் பயன்தரும்.
இந்த திட்டத்தின் மூலம் தமிழகத்தில் 6, 7 மற்றும் 8ம் வகுப்புகளில் பயிலும் 4 லட்சத்திற்கும் மேற்பட்ட மாணவ, மாணவியருக்கு பல் பரிசோதனைகளை செய்து அதன்மூலம் அவர்களுக்கு வாயில் ஏற்படுகின்ற பொதுவான நோய்களான பல் சொத்தை, ஈறு போன்ற பிரச்சினைகளுக்கு தீர்வு காண்பதற்கும், அதை கண்டறிவதற்கும் இன்று நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கப்பட்டு இருக்கிறது.

PUNNAGAI SCHEME: At Nandanam Government School, Chennai, Ministers M. Subramanian and Anpil Mahesh jointly launched the project 'Punnagai' and supervised the dental treatment provided in a mobile dental vehicle.
It has been decided to provide dental treatment to the students of sixth to eighth standard in this program which is designed to ensure the dental safety of the students.
The program will be useful to screen school children and create awareness about oral diseases and find solutions.
Through this project, more than 4 lakh students studying in 6th, 7th and 8th classes in Tamil Nadu have been given dental check-ups and through this, steps have been taken today to find solutions to the problems of common oral diseases like tooth decay and gingivitis.
